Wednesday May 29th 2013

Linda suggested that I stop at Delta Growers to check on lawn mower blades for our mower.  I have been checking online and found some, some cheap, some very expensive.  Delta Growers had some the eleven dollars apiece so I bought three of them.  I also took the old ones in and I’m going to sharpen them during lunch hour.

Grant and I went over to Russell Street to tear down some steps and tear down a couple of sheds and pick up the trash that has been there for years.

The steps went fine the shed was a different story.  We got it down but we took two loads of trash to the dumpster and we still have a couple more loads left to get rid of.  Got a picture of Grant working…

Still can’t get my pictures to enlarge on this thing.  Anyway this is the first shed we tore down after the people got their stuff out.  We probably will go back Friday to finish cleaning up the mess.  Mark went with us after lunch to check it out and gives us some more things to do over there.  It needs a lot of work.

On the way home I stopped at Wal Mart and picked up a filter and oil for the camper.  Needs to have the oil changed.

I was really tired when I got home but decided to finish the things I needed to do before I forget or just don’t do it.  I changed the blades on the mower and will probably throw the old ones away but will keep them for awhile.  I also changed the oil and filter on the camper.  Not a favorite job for sure. It needed to be done though and rather than try to find a place that would do it I decided it would be easier and cheaper to do it myself.  Want to have the camper ready, we are planning on going up to Gerald MO to see Don and Cheryl. 

Tonight I really had a hard time staying awake, but then there wasn’t much on TV to keep my excited enough to stay awake.  Finally woke up around eleven and decided it was time to go to bed.  Night Y’all….

Looks  like it is going to be a nice warm day. I will be going into work and probably will mow the mobile home park. It isn’t to bad doing that and the fresh air is nice.

I dumped the trash first then started mowing.  Mowing went pretty good, I stopped at noon for lunch and then back to work.  I lost a small wheel off the deck,  The nut just came loose off the mower deck so I stopped back at the shop to put it back on and when I tried to start it again, there was nothing!  I tried all I could figure out but with no luck.  I got Mark out to look at it and he couldn’t figure it out.  He called Jerry and he stopped by to take a look.  He took the starter off and took it with him.

Well, my computer isn’t doing what I want it to do and I can’t figure out what is wrong.  I like to make the pictures larger but for some reason I can’t do it. Oh well, this is a picture of me on the “good” Kubota and I have to say it does  do a really good job mowing.

I got off work around 5PM and headed home.  I was pretty tired because it was pretty warm today and riding on that mower for six hours or so it not real comfortable.  I was ready to go home.

Not much going on tonight so I guess it is time to say Night Y’all….

Today is Memorial Day, we don’t have anything planned so we will probably just stick around home.

I did a little work on the camper.  There was a real slow propane leak and the alarm would go off but it would take a couple of days before it would sound the alarm so I imagine the leak was a real small one.

After I got everything apart on the camper I figure it must be the line going to the furnace.  I finally got a wrench that would work on it and tightened it up just a little.  The alarm hasn’t gone off since!

Linda is not feeling well this morning. Allergies I think, she has a bad headache.

Went to Sunday School and Church at Morehouse.  Sunday School was especially good because Sonny led a young lady, Nikki, to the Lord!  This was his last Sunday teaching, at least for awhile.  I will be taking over next week, different class but same room.  Yes, seeing her saved was a great thing to participate in with the rest of the class.

Church was very good also. Pastor Randy was really excited hearing that Nikki accepted the Lord as her Savior.  His sermon was actually an invitation.  Her boyfriend wasn’t ready yet.  Maybe later.  Hopefully the class I will lead will help her grow and maybe he will see that he needs Jesus as his Savior also, sure hope so.

Took it easy this afternoon.  Linda and I fixed fajitas for lunch.  They were really good.

I went back to Morehouse for church tonight.  Went to the 1st Baptist Church, our church cancelled tonight.  The service was really good!  They had about a half hour of singing, “pickin n grinnin” with the pastor and a couple of other guitar players.  His sermon was also very good.  Loyd was there tonight also, then I saw Bill and Phyllis, and a lady from Hinton Park.  I didn’t know her but she knew me.

Didn’t do a lot tonight just stayed in and relaxed.  Guess it is time to say Night Y’all…

Well it is going to be another beautiful day!  It is very cool this morning, I guess we broke a record for the low temp for this day!  I think it was in the low forties this morning.  Very cool with a breeze.

I have been messing around this morning doing a few odd jobs, nothing major but things I like to have done.

Work the office this afternoon.  The job is easy but very boring!  I forgot my computer and my telephone so I will have to try to find something to do to keep me occupied after the chores are all done.

I found a book in the laundry room about airplanes and crashes.  It seems to be pretty good but I get tired when I read so I didn’t get a lot of reading done.  The day went slow and I got off right at 7PM and made it home before the sun went down.  Had a lot of time to spare.  I forgot, I got the BBQ grill out and grilled some chicken on it and Linda found a recipe for sweet onions grilled.  They turned out pretty good!  A little Ranch Dressing and Worcestershire Sauce, didn’t have any of the latter so I used Soy Sauce.  They tasted pretty good, Linda doctored it up a little with some hot stuff, could have done without the hot stuff but they were still good.

I also found some pretty flowers or weeds not sure which they are but I think they look nice…

They are petite and have a pinkish tint to them.  They are in a row at an empty lot so maybe they are flowers.

Well, taking it easy tonight, play a little on the computer and then to bed….Night Y’all….

Back to work today and it is a beautiful day, a little cool but sunny and I think it will probably warm up nicely.

I mowed Russell Street this morning.  It is really growing fast. It didn’t look very good, before I mowed.  I also sprayed a bottle of Roundup and did some branch cutting.  There are bushes there that are really hard to mow around so I took the lopping shears or pruning shears along and got a bunch of them down.  I could spend a couple of weeks over there taking out trees and bushes that serve no purpose, except the Mulberry Tree, and that is bird food.  They love the Mulberries.  The sure make a mess though.

I got back over the the RV Park around 2PM.  I sprayed a couple of bottles of Roundup there and blew off the driveway.  That was about all for today.

Remember the hot dogs?  Well, I really liked them and I ate to many and I actually gained a couple of pounds!  Back on the veggies again!

I didn’t do much tonight, I was pretty tired.  I played a couple of games on the computer and at 10PM decided it was time for bed. I’m tired so it is time to say Night Y’all…

Looks like a beautiful day, it is kind of cool this morning with a nice breeze and hardly any clouds.  I think I will enjoy the day.

I went into work and I knew I was going to clean out a mobile home.  I just didn’t really know how bad it was.  They left a lot of stuff there, nothing of much value, and it was not a pretty sight!

I took most of the morning bagging up trash and hauling it to the dumpster with the golf cart.  I made two trips with big loads.  There  were three TVs and a bunch of furniture, most of which I couldn’t take on the golf cart so this afternoon I had Grant bring the truck over and we made two pretty good loads which really filled up the dumpsters.

I finished around 3:30 and then I sprayed a couple of bottles of Roundup where I see the weeds are starting to take over again.

I went on home at five, I was pretty well tired.

Today would have been a good day to mow the lawn but I think I will wait until tomorrow to do it.  I think tomorrow is supposed to be a good day.

The Jodi Arias trial is over (for now) they couldn’t come to a unanimous decision so they will have another trial in July, not looking forward to that.

It is still cloudy this morning but I see some blue sky every once in awhile!

We don’t have anything planned for today, probably just hang around and not do much of anything.

We tried the hot dogs today and I think they are pretty good.  These are the kind you have to take the skins off to eat them.

We have church tonight and our study is the “Seed Principal” and Coyita leads the class only Coyita didn’t show up tonight.  Guess she was called to Jeff City.  Jean led the class tonight and it actually went quite well,  We didn’t finish the two chapters but there is a lot to talk about in these lessons.  I hope my class isn’t quite so hurried, I want it to be a leisurely class and like this one, with lots of input from all that are attending. That would make a nice class.

Linda is watching the Jodi Arias trial and they aren’t doing much so I guess I will play games on the computer to pass time.

Well, I’m taking today off, it is raining!  Good thing I mowed yesterday.  I even mowed our lawn.

I went to town to do a few things. I also stopped at Johnson’s in Matthews at the meat market.  We like the meat market.  I got some ground chuck and some wieners, which aren’t good for our diet but they sure looked good.  I also got a chicken breast that they cooked there.  It was pretty good and Linda and I shared it.

I guess I should have put this picture first since it was before the sunset.  I was just noticing that out telephone pole looks pretty crooked!  I don’t thing it is though.

Just a night to laze around.  Not much going on tonight except for some wind, even shook our home!  The wind only lasted for a few minutes but it was enough to have a power outage.  The outage lasted about an hour and it was long enough that we got our battery operated lantern out and used it for awhile.

Looks like a nice day today, I’m going to work today and then take Tuesday and Wednesday off.  It is supposed to rain Tuesday and Wednesday so I will take them off.  Grant is back from college and he is going to mow the RV Park while he is here. I won’t have to man handle the picnic tables for awhile.

I mowed the mobile home park today and it took me almost all day. I had time to dump the trash and after mowing I sprayed a bottle of Roundup on some spots that I had missed before.  Some were pretty bad.  I see other places that need some Roundup but I will wait until later to do them.

I got my passport today.  Guess I can go to Mexico now! We don’t plan on going to any place other than Mexico and maybe Canada.  We just got the card, not the book.

Well, tonight I get to work on the blog and get caught up again.  It sure doesn’t take long to get behind.  I have to take the “hotspot” out on the deck so I can get online.  It works and that is what counts.

Sat and Sunday May 18th & 19th 2013

Well, on Saturday I mowed the lawn.  It was getting pretty long and I thought that I had better do it especially if I am going to work on Monday. I wouldn’t have much time to do it if not today.

We went into town and looked around Wal Mart.  Something to do to take up some time.

We bought a pizza at Aldi’s and had it tonight.  It only cost $4 but we decided we would get another one of these.  It was actually great and just right for the two of us.

Tonight we relaxed and I had to take a picture of Sparky, he was really relaxed…

He sure is a weird dog!

On Sunday we went to school and church in Morehouse.  We had a good time and the sermons was good and lots of action in Sunday School.  Hopefully there will be a lot of participation in the class I will have starting June 2nd.  The study is called “Survival Kit” and it is for young or new Christians or Christians that want to get a refresher.  I’m looking forward to it.

I got to take a nap this afternoon, not a long one but it was enough.

Church tonight was good also.  I have five signed up for the class so far. Hopefully there will be a few more. If not we will make it through fine and dandy!

Got a picture of some of our flowers, not really sure they are flowers I think they may be weeds but they are pretty and they come up every year!

The flowers open every morning and close early in the afternoon.  They bloom all summer so I will keep them!

Linda fixed some chili and I fried some cabbage.  Something didn’t taste quite right and Linda added some cayenne pepper to it and made it pretty spicy.  I also used a new frying pan we bought.  It is a ceramic one and I think it will work pretty good. They are better than the Teflon pans.  I think they will last a lot longer but they cost more.

Well, guess that is about all for this weekend, kind of dull but that is OK, we rested.

Well, I am glad that I mowed yesterday, it is raining today, not hard, but hard enough that it would be to wet to mow.

We decided to go into town and do a few things, Sparky came with us even went out in the rain which he really doesn’t like.

The rain was really coming down on the way into town and it lasted for about an hour I think.  We must have gotten about an inch of rain.  Farmers aren’t real happy I don’t imagine.  This puts the stops on planting for a few days.

We took it easy this afternoon and it seems like it may have quit raining at least for awhile.  The sun tries to shine every once in awhile so I think it is about done for today.

Linda fixed a salad for supper and we finished off the beans….

I also fried some mushrooms that were getting a little old, they weren’t as black as in the picture though…  Had a pretty good supper.

Tonight seemed to be our night for being hungry.  I fixed a cantaloupe that we had in the fridge and it really didn’t taste good.  I ate some and Linda ate some and I think I will throw the rest away.  Have to eat something else to get the taste out of my mouth.  I fixed a waffle with some ice cream and that helped and then I had some almonds and then some raisins.

 

Guess all that food made me tired I have been napping in the chair off and on all night and that probably won’t be good for a good nights sleep!  Oh well, that is OK, I may have to take a nap tomorrow too..

Not sure I will be going to work today.  It is cloudy and even sprinkled a little.  The weather forecast is predicting a 40% chance of rain today but they said it would be scattered so by 8AM I decided it would be a good day to try to finish mowing for the week.

The forecast for tomorrow was supposed to be less chance of rain and I figured I would work tomorrow but when the weather is nice it is time to mow the grass.

Work started out pretty good.  Mark picked up the oil and filter for the mower so I got it changed and started mowing.  Well, about a half hour after I started the steering linkage came apart.  Not easy mowing if you can’t steer the tractor.  I put it back together about four times and it kept coming apart so I went and told Mark and he said the last time this happened they used wire ties temporarily so we tried it and it last about an hour so I thought I would do it again and put it on so it wouldn’t slip off and it lasted the rest of the day.  Got all the mowing done by 4:30PM and dumped the trash because I won’t be back to work now until Monday.

I did have a little problem today, other than the steering.  I pushed a picnic table into and RV and put a dent in it.  My bad! It isn’t a bad dent, if there is such a thing, and it didn’t take any paint off.  I told Mark about it before I went home to make sure he knew about it.

After all the sweating I did today, I weighed myself before taking a shower and I was down to 195 which is about what I was about 5 years ago.  I still have a lot of fat hanging around though and I would like to get rid of some more of that.  Probably won’t get rid of it all though.

We finished the tacos tonight, still very good.

We watched the finale episode of Elementary  and it was pretty good.  Different for sure.

I dozed a few times in the chair and after the weather I was ready for bed.  I’m tired…. Night Y’all…

Looks like another gorgeous day in the neighborhood!  Going to be sunny and warm today!  Love it!

Going into work today and will probably be mowing Russell Street.  I was wrong, Mark need his truck this afternoon and I never finish before noon so I mowed the mobile home park today.

Work went quite well, I had plenty to do until 5:30PM then headed home.  I was pretty tired, takes a lot out of you riding a mower for six or seven hours.  Doesn’t sound bad but my back sure starts hurting after awhile.  It is nothing like the small mower though.

Linda fixed tacos tonight, they were good.  We are still on our diet and this is a little off the diet but not bad, we have really cut down on the amount we eat.  I had two tacos and called it quits.

Kind of a quiet night and other than just a little TV, well, not much going on so guess I will say Night Y’all…

Tuesday May 14th 2013

Going in to work today, will do some mowing and spraying probably.

It is a beautiful day and will probably be nice and warm.

Mowing went good.  I mowed the mobile home park today, Mark needs the truck this afternoon so he can go home and mow his lawn.

The mobile home park needs mowing also, I can mow Russell Street tomorrow.  It took most of the day to mow it and after that I sharpened the blades.  Been a long time since they have been sharpened.  The middle blade is really hard to get off.  The  bolt is really tight.  The other two aren’t really to bad.  I did get it done and I finished around 5:30 PM and it is time to go home.

On the way home I was going to fill up with gas and see that the price of gas has gone up about fifteen cents.  Oh well, guess I waited to long!

Watched TV tonight, we had some programs taped that we wanted to watch.  Had a good night, the programs were good.\

I am taking today off and will go to work on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

We went into town to get a cord for my camera and did find one at Radio Shack so now I can charge my camera.

We didn’t do a lot in town, picked up some flowers and some potting soil so we could plant them.

I planted the flowers as soon as we got home.  We are trying Perennials this year and we will see if they come up again next year.

I saw a young Robin outside and wonder if it is the one that flew out of the nest the other day.  It is sitting in the tree, doesn’t look like it is big enough to fly though.

Little bird doesn’t look very old!

Linda got a plant for Mother’s Day from Kim, Dave and Jacob.  It looks very nice.  I think it is called Heather.

Well, not sure what is going on with the computer but guess it is back to normal.

Weekend May 11th & 12th 2013

Daniel and Rachel and Amanda left yesterday morning.  We had a good visit.  Linda fixed bacon, eggs and gravy and I fixed some biscuits.  Pretty decent breakfast.

They got on the road about 10AM I think.  It is going to be quiet around here now.

We don’t have anything planned but thought that this afternoon we would go into town and get Linda a pair of jeans.  Got her a couple of games for her computer.  We wanted to try Little Caesar Pizza.  We stopped to see what was on at the theater and nothing that was telling us to go to the movies tonight. 

We got the pizza and went on home.  It sure smells good!  Tastes good too!  We haven’t had pizza for a long time and I over indulged…. Oh well, start on the diet again in a couple of days.

Sunday.  Going to church at Morehouse.  It is strange how churches work. Our song leader, John was asked to leave I think.  Not sure about what happened but he is an ordained minister and knows music and is very good at what he does.  He resigned a couple of weeks ago.  The church isn’t really doing very well, in fact the attendance is really down and not sure if it is going to pick up.  Fact is there seem to be a lot of people leaving.  Time will tell.

Church and Sunday School were good.  They cancelled church tonight and I was going to go to North Acres but I guess they cancelled church tonight also.  I ended up back at Fellowship Baptist Church.  He had a good sermon and it went right along with our Wednesday Night Study on the “Seed Principal” and Joe’s sermon was on “Sowing”  very interesting.

I can’t remember if I did a blog on Friday or not but thought I would put a picture in of Daniel, Rachel and Amanda…

Looks like it was a nice day to travel.  We haven’t heard from them yet so not sure what all happened.  They said it would take around five days to get there at three hundred plus miles per day.

Well, not much else to write about.  I can’t find the cord to charge my camera so I will either have to buy another camera or figure out how to hook it up so I can charge the battery.

Got today off!!!  We don’t have anything planned and it is supposed to rain today.  It is cloudy and this wind is blowing like crazy but hasn’t done any more than sprinkled a little.

I decided to mow the lawn, rain is coming so I need to get it done.  I decided to mow our neighbors lawn also.  He is just moving in and doesn’t have a lawn mower yet.  I see the other neighbor hadn’t mowed his for awhile so I decided it was a good time to mow the part he didn’t get.

Linda came looking for me because we were supposed to got to a lunch at the church and it is called GBP (God’s beautiful people).  They said it was starting at 11AM and we did make it at 11:30 but it hadn’t started yet. Linda made a vegetable and turkey casserole and I made a fruit salad.  and we were amazed that everything was gone.  Guess people were really hungry.  We had a good time and Daniel and Rachel said they both enjoyed it.

I finished mowing the lawn and the sun came out and actually turned out to be a beautiful day.

We made pizza for tonight.  I don’t think it turned out very good.  The crust got burnt and the cheese I bought really didn’t taste all that good.  I think it was a flop even though they all said they liked it.  I definitely left it in the oven to long.  Wanted to make sure it was done.

No one wanted desert tonight and I was all set to make fried tortillas with cinnamon sugar, ice cream and caramel.   Guess we will have to wait and go off our diet again some other time… 

Well, I think I am all caught up now, I’m sure I missed a lot and probably put stuff in the wrong days but who will know the difference??  Not me, I can’t remember anyway….Night Y’all..

Wednesday May 8th 2013

Alright it is Wednesday and what did I do today???  I mowed the RV Park today.   It was a great day to mow, still a little warm but got the whole thing done with no problems. Well, I did have a little problem, I caught a camper’s coax cable and broke it so when I finished I repaired it.  Took a little while but at least he will have TV to watch.

I went to church tonight and Coyita had her class, “The Seed Principle”  which was very good.  I think I will need to study more.  Next week we are going to do two lessons for some reason.

Daniel and Rachel were going to leave tomorrow but sounds like there could be some storms brewing out West a ways.  They decided to stay another night.

Linda thought about making chicken fajitas but we still had other stuff that need to be used up.  We are going to have a lot of left overs.

We just sat around tonight talking and watched a little TV  I sat outside for awhile, it was just perfect for sitting outside,well, maybe a little windy but still  nice.  We all ended up sitting out here for about an hour or more.

Tuesday May 7th 2013

Work again today!  I am going to mow the mobile home park, probably take me all day to do this.  I try to get as much done as possible and that way I may be able to get out a little earlier tomorrow.

This morning was another pretty morning.  Had some ground fog and a pretty sunrise.  Try to get a good picture in here…

I thought it looked nice!

Got off work at 5PM today.  My back was hurting but I still had a good day.  I have been wearing a long sleeve shirt to keep the sun off me but it is pretty warm!

Linda fixed spaghetti tonight, I brought a loaf of French Bread home and this was Amanda’s favorite along with pizza, save that for tomorrow!  We had waffles with ice cream for desert.  It was very good.

We had another night of talking about old times.  They say that Amanda has really done good in school and has come out of her shell and is a very likeable person.  She is very courteous and I think that Daniel and Rachel are doing a very good job of raising her.  Hope their trip to Montana is a good one and they really like the place they are going.

Monday May 6th 2013

OK, I’ve been letting my blog go for awhile again.  Now I will try to remember what we did on Monday. I am at work right now and I see that I worked on Monday and mowed Russell Street.  I was surprised that it really needed it again!

Daniel, Rachel and Amanda got here yesterday afternoon.  I haven’t been able to spend a lot of time at home but I quit this afternoon at 1:30 and had to stop and get a couple of things on the way home.

Everyone seemed fine at home.  We got to do a lot of talking and had a good time talking about working at Compton Ridge.  Not a good job but a lot of good memories.

I think Linda fixed tacos tonight for supper.  Whenever it was, they were good.  We also had fruit salad.

Got a picture of Amanda in a tree.  She seems to like this tree….

Well, I guess you can’t see her face…

This picture was a little better.  Amanda likes to draw and write poetry.  I haven’t read any of her poetry but she did draw a picture of this tree and it looked just like this tree!

After starting this I wonder if I put the wrong month on here, guess I will have to check that out.

Went into work today and mowed Russell Street, I think it needed it.  It didn’t look to bad but it was really thick and it would have been bad to leave it for another week.

Oh, got a nice picture of the sunrise this morning…

It was beautiful this morning.  The sunrise wasn’t as pretty as the picture but the sky was blue and it really looks like a beautiful day.

I dumped the trash and then went to mow Russell street. and it took about three hours and when I got back I sprayed a bottle of Roundup then went on home.  There wasn’t  a lot going on, we talked with Daniel and Rachel the rest of the afternoon and most of the night.  Had a great time.

Linda fixed taco’s for supper and they were really good.  I tried something a little later on that I had never tried before.  We have a mix called one, two, three and I decided that since we had so much cake left I would try to do a bowl full.  Well, I didn’t think it out right so I ended up with two pretty big bowls of cake.  I really didn’t know if it would be good or not but it actually turned out quite well.  We had some Cool Whip to put on it and it was actually very good.  I am going to see if I can get a picture of the second bowl and put it in here…

It doesn’t look like much but it really tastes good.  I finished off the cake mix and will mix another on sometime with may a carrot cake mix.  Should be good.

Weekend May 6-7 2013

Well, it’s the weekend and it is cloudy and looks like rain, again!

It didn’t rain but it is cool and windy.  Hopefully I will be able to mow the lawn this afternoon.  It doesn’t look real bad but bad enough.

I think it is a twice a week thing with all the rain we have had and it is cool so the weeds, and grass, is growing.

Later this afternoon I did get the mower out and mow the lawn, looks a lot better and I figured as long as I had the mower out I would was and polish it.  Looks pretty good now, got the dust off of it….

I enjoyed mowing the lawn and like it looking a lot better, the lawn, well, the tractor also.

I fixed me some broccoli and soup for my lunch…

I can’t believe I  ate the whole thing!!!  It was pretty good, haven’t had Ramen Soup for a long time.

Church on Sunday, Linda put on a turkey this morning and I have been hungry for turkey.  I didn’t get a picture of her fixing the turkey, sure wish I had though.  It sure smells good.

Daniel and Rachel and Amanda made it is this afternoon, I even took a picture…

They ate supper when I went to church and I ate when I got back home.

We had a good night talking about all the stuff that had gone on since we had see each other.

Well, it is very wet this morning.  Sparky got to go out and do his duty even though it was raining.  He didn’t like it though.

We decided not to go see Don and Cheryl today even though right now it doesn’t look to bad but driving three hours in rain doesn’t sound like fun. We opted to wait a few days. 

Daniel and Rachel will be coming here Sunday for a visit and we are excited to see them again and catch up on all that has been going on in their lives.

I want to go to town and go out to eat.  Been quite awhile and we have a coupon for Ruby Tuesday’s.  Been a long time since we have eaten there, even though we ate at one down in Texas.  The waitress’s name is Justin and quite a talker.  (A terrible picture but I only took one)

I’m not going to make it big because it makes it worse.  Linda got some fish tacos and I got a veggie plate, kind of sticking to my diet.  It was really good, especially the mashed cauliflower!  Really tasty.  Had a salad bar, one trip is all I took.  Also had steamed broccoli and I splurged with onion rings.  I also ate one of Linda’s fish tacos and tasted her broccoli cheese soup, excellent.

We stopped at Aldi’s and Wal Mart before going home.  Oh, Sparky went with us and he got cold in the car but I think he will live, and it is better than being in a closed car in the summer.  We wouldn’t take him if it was going to be hot.

We picked up some groceries and a few odds and ends and headed home. We got wet for sure, it has been raining pretty hard all day.  I think we got a couple or three inches of rain.  Got a lot of water standing.  Will take awhile to soak into the ground.

I still haven’t gotten the time on my air card yet so I’m not sure if I will be able to post this or not.   I am kind of perplexed why I haven’t gotten the time yet, maybe I have to be completely out or the two month period has to be over, not sure.

We are taking it easy the rest of the day, I finished reading the book “Not a Fan” and I thought it was excellent!  Really opens your eyes to whether you are a “fan” or a “follower” of Jesus and he doesn’t sugar coat anything, it is right to the point.  I would recommend this book for anyone who thinks he is a Christian.

Well, it is supposed to rain today but there isn’t a cloud in the sky!!  I know that it will probably change quickly.  I finished the mowing at the park yesterday so I won’t be going in today.

We don’t have anything planned for today so we will probably just stay home and not do to much. 

I am about out of time on my air card so I will try to get it used up and order another one.  I have to go through Wal Mart to get the good one and it is supposed to be delivered by email which I’m not real excited about. Our Wal Mart here doesn’t have the t-mobile stuff so I either have to go to Cape or order it on line.  Faster on line I think, wrong, I ordered it and seems like everything is OK  but I haven’t gotten the email.  Not sure why, my time is almost up and the data is gone so I probably won’t even be able to post this today, actually it is Friday, I’m a day late

I went to the dentist at 11:50AM and got my teeth checked.  Cost another $80+ for the checkup.  He found a cavity and my teeth need cleaning.  That will be another $200.  Think I will wait until this Fall and go to Mexico.  May save me a few dollars and I have heard good reports about the dentists over there.

We planned on going to see Don and Cheryl tomorrow but after hearing the weather reports we decided that we should wait a couple of days or a week or something like that.

Linda made a nice salad for supper.  We topped it with some tuna fish and it was very good…

The salads are really good and filling.  Still have the cravings for the good stuff though.  I suggested that tomorrow we splurge and get a pizza or something.  I think we will probably go out to eat tomorrow if the weather isn’t real bad.

Not a lot going on tonight, just a little TV and a little computer stuff so I guess I will say  Night Y’all…..

This is going to be a great day.  The sun is shining, well, it isn’t cloudy and the sun is coming up!  It is cool but definitely not cold.  Going to be a great day.

I went to work this morning and I have to mow the RV Park which is the hardest of all to mow because if the picnic tables.  They all have to be moved so I can mow under them.  With that and sitting on the mower all day my back tends to get pretty sore.

I did things a little different this morning.  A lady wanted to put up a little pool for her son, about 2 years old I guess, so I mowed that first and finished all the back in spots before doing the rest.

I think I may start doing it this way because it seems to be a little easier and the back in spots are the hardest, if they have campers in them, which a lot of them do.

I took a picture of the outside of the campground where I was mowing and I like the way the mower cuts the grass, it looks nice..

The little Kubota sure does a nice job mowing.

I got off work at 5PM, went home and decided to be a good neighbor and I mowed the neighbors lawn.  Tommy is just moving in next door and I figured with all the moving he probably wouldn’t mind if I mowed his lawn. After mowing, I took a shower and we had a bowl of chili.  I sat down to relax and realized it was 7PM and Wednesday night!  I just missed church!  I really wanted to go tonight because Coyita was starting a new class and I really would like to have been there. Oh well, next week…

I got to meet Tommy, he was moving in some furniture so I thought I would be kind of neighborly and say hi.  He seems to be a very nice guy.  Single I would say.

Just a gorgeous morning!!!  Sunrise was beautiful…

We are supposed to have a couple of very nice days then it’s going to cool off and rain again.  This is still Spring in Missouri though.

I went into work today and I mowed Russell Street.  It was looking pretty bad and really needed the attention.

I did a few odd jobs around the park after lunch and finally went home at 5PM.  I was pretty tired and my back hurts.  I took some Ibuprofen when I got home and was glad I did.  My back quit hurting a little later.

Linda fixed a pot of chili for supper!  It was excellent!  I can’t hardly believe I can eat a half bowl of chili, well, maybe a little more than that, and be satisfied!  I usually eat at least two bowls of chili with a few slices of bread. We have tried pumpernickel bread and now some really heavy rye bread.  Neither are the greatest.  I like regular bread a lot better.

I think I will sleep well tonight.  I did fall asleep in the chair for a few minutes and missed a little of the news, oh well, what’s new?

I picked an Iris for Linda…

They sure are pretty!  We have some yellow ones also…
