Sunday June 6th 2010

This is Sunday Morning and it is beautiful out!  Sun is shining and it is a little cooler than it has been.  Linda and I go into work at 9:30AM and work until 5PM.  That gives us time to go to church tonight.  When we got to work and looked at what we had to do we figured we would be all day getting all this done.  We surprised ourselves and finished in 3 hours.  I think we are getting our rhythm down a little better.  Ever think of the word rhythm? I’ve misspelled it twice now.  All those consonants (another hard word) and one vowel.  Back to work, in the afternoon I used the leaf blower to clean off the decks at the Lodge and the parking lot and Linda got to do laundry!!  Not a real exciting day but it went pretty fast.

 

This is the church we went to tonight.  Thought that we would try a different one.  Well, not many have Sunday evening services.  Oh, you can’t see the church??  In the middle of the picture is the steeple.

This is the side view of Friendly Baptist Church.  They were quite friendly. The Pastor was on vacation and the Assistant Pastor had the service tonight.  “Being Spirit Filled”  was his sermon but Linda and I know what the apostles felt like when Jesus went to pray in the Garden.  We were tired.  There was a Gospel sing at Skyline Baptist church tonight and we would really like to have gone to see it but we were just to tired.

They had quite a band and they were playing when we walked in.  Sounded like a jam session.  They really get the country and blue grass music going in here (Gospel of course)

The lady in the picture above is supposed to be 92 years old and from what people say she can really play a mean banjo.

We went home and had a bite to eat and relaxed for awhile.  I was having a hard time staying awake so I went to be at 9PM.  I must be getting old.  Nite Ya’ll…..
