Wednesday April 28th 2010

I woke up this morning (and that’s a good sign) to a beautiful day.  It is cool and the sun is shining!  What a great day.  We were thinking of going into town today but not sure.  Guess the telephone works just as good.  I need to get in touch with Steve at Gulfstream and Michelle at Paw Paw’s. Well going out of order Steve from Gulfstream returned my phone call (shocking!) and told me that the microwave will be shipped overnight.  He said it should be here no later than Friday.  If so, we will be heading back to Missouri either Monday or Tuesday.  Depends on how long it takes us to get packed up.  Got in touch with Michelle at Paw Paw’s and she new nothing of the microwave being shipped but she said she would get on the phone right away to see if she could get a tracking number.  “Go Michelle”.

Decided to make some bread this morning, we finished up the old bread yesterday.  Aunt Virgie said she would like to have cinnamon bread instead of cinnamon rolls, Sounds good to me.  The loaf of the right looks a little deformed but still tastes good.

The Youth Group from West Union Baptist church, across the street, had a fund raising dinner last night. Cuevas Fish House has a mobile unit (in picture) and they did a great job preparing fish and chicken meals.  I went over and bought a couple which is in the next picture.

MMMMMM Good.  Linda got chicken and I got Cat Fish. More than enough to eat and very good.  I talked to a lady last night after church when they were cleaning and she said they cleared over $600!  I had to ask about Cuevas and she said they cleared about $1400.  Not bad for 2 hours.  That was a lot of meals at $8.  And all these were prepared in that little trailer. Chicken or fish, hush puppies, slaw and french fries.

After church there was a movie (of sorts).  Actually it was about Mt St. Helen and the eruption and what geologists the creationists discovered. Very interesting facts but the movie was very boring.  It explained the Grand Canyon.  When Mt St Helen erupted there were thousands of tons of mud, steam and ash produced in a matter of hours.  After it was safe to go back in they found a mini grand canyon with layers of stratus (?) that were formed in a matter of minutes or hours.  They think the Grand Canyon had to have been formed in exactly the same way….. Very interesting.  Well, time to take a break…Night yall..
