Got up early this morning and it is cool and cloudy!! After getting all my things done, I woke Linda up about 8AM. We were going to breakfast this morning with David and Marian over at the Whistle Stop. The Whistle Stop is the little cafe if the main part of the park.
We are all workampers at this table. The couple next to me are from Kansas and it sounds like they are having the same problem with their camper getting it fixed and licensed as we did. If I understood right they have had theirs for 6 months and they still haven’t gotten it registered or licensed yet.
This is the church we came upon on our travels this morning. This is the Kimberling City First Baptist Church. Pastor Hardy preached a great Mother’s Day Sermon from Proverbs 31. This was also Pastor Hardy’s first Sunday here. If the schedule is right we will go back. They have a 9AM service but their Sunday School is at 8AM. If they were switched around I know we would have time to go!!
The food was excellent. David and I had smoked sausage sandwich and Linda had a pulled pork sandwich and Marian had the ribs. A little pricy but not to bad. We also had an onion loaf that was very good.
We stayed in the rest of the night and took it easy. We were pretty tired.
I know this didn’t happen today, not quite, but after going to bed, about 1:30AM it started raining pretty hard. Linda was rudely awakened by water pouring on her face. Yep, the slide out still leaks. This was the worst yet. I will call Paw Paw’s and let them know so they will be prepared this in September. If San Diego was closer I would take it out there where we purchased it but we already have an appointment set for Picayune so Picayune it is. Time to go back to sleep…Night yall…..
