OK, we made it to Conroe TX without any problems. It was a long drive yesterday but to get our camper fixed it is worth it. Got a nice little campground that we can connect to wifi once in awhile and the price is pretty good. The bathrooms are really nice except they lack toilet paper, soap, hand dryers etc. Other than that they are really nice.
The top picture here is a tree with Spanish Moss on it. First one I’ve seen but will probably see more in Louisiana. The bottom picture is the campground. Very out of the way with no signs for direction. Glad this was it because there was no place to turn around. That would have been bad.
Now for the bad news. We stopped at Action RV to talk with them and after a little talking found out that Gulf Stream didn’t send any parts to them. In fact they hadn’t heard much of anything from Gulf Stream. After talking for awhile we found out, in a round about way, that they didn’t even want to work on our camper. They don’t like doing warranty work for them. They didn’t tell us they wouldn’t do it but gave us a name of another dealer in Louisiana that would probably do it. Had to make a call to Gulf Stream and let them know we wouldn’t be staying here for 2 weeks to get in to get it fixed. This was all supposed to be set up and parts here already. Parts weren’t even sent. Oh well, after talking to Gulf Stream and asking them if we could get it done in Picayune MS (we will be there about 4 weeks) he said that would be OK!!! I asked him before and he said no!!! We are going to Picayune. Not upset about it, in fact, we kind of enjoyed coming here and the peaceful little campground. Tomorrow is another traveling day though. Later……
