Another beautiful day! Sunny, clear and not hot, yet. Going to get hot again today. I think it is hot almost all over the mid U.S.
We stopped at the “Big K Mart” here in Clinton. Linda’s is having problems. Her back is really hurting, her lip is sunburnt and has a blister and her carpel tunnel is back again. She hasn’t had to were wrist braces for years and all of a sudden it’s back. She got some wrist braces and some stuff for her back. I put a thermo patch on her back and we got on the road. We made quite a few stops today, I think more than usual but necessary.
We were going to stop in Springfield MO for the night and I missed all the turns to go to motels. We drove on and we checked out other motels and I’m not about to spend $80 a night for a room in a “cheap” motel even if I am cheap
!! I think we stopped at least four times and most prices ranged from $100 down to $60. Most of these motels didn’t even have a car parked anywhere around! We checked a Travelodge and the place was filthy! That was just the office, I can imagine what the rooms looked like. When they said $60 per night I left with no regrets.
We stopped at Mountain View at a place we notice every time we go by so we decided to stay the night. Not cheap, but not real bad, $70, but the place is really nice…
The place is comfortable and very clean. Linda took the patch off her back and it should have been taken off earlier. She has a burn spot on her back and a water blister. We know now that they can’t be worn under anything tight and only for about six hours. The get very warm!
Not much more to talk about. Hopefully we will get home tomorrow before it gets to hot. We will have a lot to do tomorrow for sure. Night Y’all…
