Here is Alexa in the hospital with something that was like Meningitis. She definitely doesn’t feel good that is for sure. She looks happy here but she still can’t move her head without her neck hurting. Linda and I get to watch Jake for a couple of days.
Jake is doing pretty good but I got him up last night to go to the bathroom about 11:30 and he wasn’t happy. This morning I woke him up and he still wasn’t happy. He wanted eggs for breakfast and I thought maybe this would help a little. He ate FOUR eggs!! Quite a little eater.
We went out and rode bicycles for a couple of hours and had a pretty good time. For lunch we had hot dogs and some Chex Mix. He took a nap after that, he didn’t want to, but he slept for about 2 hours. After he got up his Dad came home with his blanket and that really helped him feel better. After Darin left we took a little walk to the park and found a green tennis ball that we played with on the slide for about an hour, had a good time. On the way to the park I took a picture of a Bird of Paradise, I think….
Thought it looked pretty neat…
After the walk we fixed a great supper:-) We had Fruity Pebbles, pancakes and potato salad!!! Sounds good doesn’t it?
Not only did he eat three bowls of cereal but a pancake and a couple spoonfuls of potato salad! What could be better for a growing kid? After lunch I made him do the dishes…
He did a good job, got most of the dishes clean. Actually he wanted to play in the water but he did get this bowl pretty clean.
We had a pretty good day and Bren came home tonight from the hospital and spent the night, she was really tired. Can’t rest at the hospital, that is impossible. We hope that Alexa feels better tomorrow so she can come home tomorrow.. Got to go now Jake is getting antsy.
Aww. Poor Alexa. I'm behind on reading because grandkids. You understand? Yes.
