I think today is going to be another beautiful day. I didn’t write in my blog again this morning (Tuesday) because Alexa has been feeling pretty bad and through out the day, Monday, she has been pretty sick. She didn’t go to school this morning because she was sick and I said we would be glad to watch her! I kept taking her temperature and it kept going down and figured she would be getting better but about 9:15AM her temperature shot up to 104!! I called Bren and Darin and they both headed home. They gave her a cool bath and some more Tylenol and her temp started coming down and she felt better. She ate and watched TV etc. At bedtime she started vomiting and her temp started going up again. After a few calls to the Doctor they decided it was best to take her to the ER and get her checked. They were afraid of Meningitis and wanted to make sure everything was OK. Jake was already in bed and asleep. We had no problem with him until I got him up at 11:30 to go to the bathroom. He wanted his MOMMY! He also wanted his BLANKIE! He had neither and he wasn’t a happy camper. We got him back to bed and he went to sleep quite easily. I was surprised!! Looks like an angel…
OK the rest of the day was spent at home not doing much. We were worried about Alexa and the fact that she was in the hospital and they were going to keep her for more tests. Bren called about 11PM to let us know that the preliminary results came back negative for meningitis and that was a big relief even though they don’t know what is causing her headaches and sore neck. Hopefully tomorrow will bring wanted and good news…. time to make like Jake up there and get some needed sleep…..
