Back to work today and it is a beautiful day, a little cool but sunny and I think it will probably warm up nicely.

I mowed Russell Street this morning.  It is really growing fast. It didn’t look very good, before I mowed.  I also sprayed a bottle of Roundup and did some branch cutting.  There are bushes there that are really hard to mow around so I took the lopping shears or pruning shears along and got a bunch of them down.  I could spend a couple of weeks over there taking out trees and bushes that serve no purpose, except the Mulberry Tree, and that is bird food.  They love the Mulberries.  The sure make a mess though.

I got back over the the RV Park around 2PM.  I sprayed a couple of bottles of Roundup there and blew off the driveway.  That was about all for today.

Remember the hot dogs?  Well, I really liked them and I ate to many and I actually gained a couple of pounds!  Back on the veggies again!

I didn’t do much tonight, I was pretty tired.  I played a couple of games on the computer and at 10PM decided it was time for bed. I’m tired so it is time to say Night Y’all…

Looks like a beautiful day, it is kind of cool this morning with a nice breeze and hardly any clouds.  I think I will enjoy the day.

I went into work and I knew I was going to clean out a mobile home.  I just didn’t really know how bad it was.  They left a lot of stuff there, nothing of much value, and it was not a pretty sight!

I took most of the morning bagging up trash and hauling it to the dumpster with the golf cart.  I made two trips with big loads.  There  were three TVs and a bunch of furniture, most of which I couldn’t take on the golf cart so this afternoon I had Grant bring the truck over and we made two pretty good loads which really filled up the dumpsters.

I finished around 3:30 and then I sprayed a couple of bottles of Roundup where I see the weeds are starting to take over again.

I went on home at five, I was pretty well tired.

Today would have been a good day to mow the lawn but I think I will wait until tomorrow to do it.  I think tomorrow is supposed to be a good day.

The Jodi Arias trial is over (for now) they couldn’t come to a unanimous decision so they will have another trial in July, not looking forward to that.

It is still cloudy this morning but I see some blue sky every once in awhile!

We don’t have anything planned for today, probably just hang around and not do much of anything.

We tried the hot dogs today and I think they are pretty good.  These are the kind you have to take the skins off to eat them.

We have church tonight and our study is the “Seed Principal” and Coyita leads the class only Coyita didn’t show up tonight.  Guess she was called to Jeff City.  Jean led the class tonight and it actually went quite well,  We didn’t finish the two chapters but there is a lot to talk about in these lessons.  I hope my class isn’t quite so hurried, I want it to be a leisurely class and like this one, with lots of input from all that are attending. That would make a nice class.

Linda is watching the Jodi Arias trial and they aren’t doing much so I guess I will play games on the computer to pass time.

Well, I’m taking today off, it is raining!  Good thing I mowed yesterday.  I even mowed our lawn.

I went to town to do a few things. I also stopped at Johnson’s in Matthews at the meat market.  We like the meat market.  I got some ground chuck and some wieners, which aren’t good for our diet but they sure looked good.  I also got a chicken breast that they cooked there.  It was pretty good and Linda and I shared it.

I guess I should have put this picture first since it was before the sunset.  I was just noticing that out telephone pole looks pretty crooked!  I don’t thing it is though.

Just a night to laze around.  Not much going on tonight except for some wind, even shook our home!  The wind only lasted for a few minutes but it was enough to have a power outage.  The outage lasted about an hour and it was long enough that we got our battery operated lantern out and used it for awhile.

Looks like a nice day today, I’m going to work today and then take Tuesday and Wednesday off.  It is supposed to rain Tuesday and Wednesday so I will take them off.  Grant is back from college and he is going to mow the RV Park while he is here. I won’t have to man handle the picnic tables for awhile.

I mowed the mobile home park today and it took me almost all day. I had time to dump the trash and after mowing I sprayed a bottle of Roundup on some spots that I had missed before.  Some were pretty bad.  I see other places that need some Roundup but I will wait until later to do them.

I got my passport today.  Guess I can go to Mexico now! We don’t plan on going to any place other than Mexico and maybe Canada.  We just got the card, not the book.

Well, tonight I get to work on the blog and get caught up again.  It sure doesn’t take long to get behind.  I have to take the “hotspot” out on the deck so I can get online.  It works and that is what counts.

Sat and Sunday May 18th & 19th 2013

Well, on Saturday I mowed the lawn.  It was getting pretty long and I thought that I had better do it especially if I am going to work on Monday. I wouldn’t have much time to do it if not today.

We went into town and looked around Wal Mart.  Something to do to take up some time.

We bought a pizza at Aldi’s and had it tonight.  It only cost $4 but we decided we would get another one of these.  It was actually great and just right for the two of us.

Tonight we relaxed and I had to take a picture of Sparky, he was really relaxed…

He sure is a weird dog!

On Sunday we went to school and church in Morehouse.  We had a good time and the sermons was good and lots of action in Sunday School.  Hopefully there will be a lot of participation in the class I will have starting June 2nd.  The study is called “Survival Kit” and it is for young or new Christians or Christians that want to get a refresher.  I’m looking forward to it.

I got to take a nap this afternoon, not a long one but it was enough.

Church tonight was good also.  I have five signed up for the class so far. Hopefully there will be a few more. If not we will make it through fine and dandy!

Got a picture of some of our flowers, not really sure they are flowers I think they may be weeds but they are pretty and they come up every year!

The flowers open every morning and close early in the afternoon.  They bloom all summer so I will keep them!

Linda fixed some chili and I fried some cabbage.  Something didn’t taste quite right and Linda added some cayenne pepper to it and made it pretty spicy.  I also used a new frying pan we bought.  It is a ceramic one and I think it will work pretty good. They are better than the Teflon pans.  I think they will last a lot longer but they cost more.

Well, guess that is about all for this weekend, kind of dull but that is OK, we rested.

Well, I am glad that I mowed yesterday, it is raining today, not hard, but hard enough that it would be to wet to mow.

We decided to go into town and do a few things, Sparky came with us even went out in the rain which he really doesn’t like.

The rain was really coming down on the way into town and it lasted for about an hour I think.  We must have gotten about an inch of rain.  Farmers aren’t real happy I don’t imagine.  This puts the stops on planting for a few days.

We took it easy this afternoon and it seems like it may have quit raining at least for awhile.  The sun tries to shine every once in awhile so I think it is about done for today.

Linda fixed a salad for supper and we finished off the beans….

I also fried some mushrooms that were getting a little old, they weren’t as black as in the picture though…  Had a pretty good supper.

Tonight seemed to be our night for being hungry.  I fixed a cantaloupe that we had in the fridge and it really didn’t taste good.  I ate some and Linda ate some and I think I will throw the rest away.  Have to eat something else to get the taste out of my mouth.  I fixed a waffle with some ice cream and that helped and then I had some almonds and then some raisins.

 

Guess all that food made me tired I have been napping in the chair off and on all night and that probably won’t be good for a good nights sleep!  Oh well, that is OK, I may have to take a nap tomorrow too..
