Saturday September 29th 2012

I texted Daniel and asked if he wanted to move things this morning and he said it sounded good.  He texted later and said he was taking the kids to the parade and I texted back and said I had to work this afternoon so I guess I have the rest of the day off, well, until I have to go into work this afternoon.

Not much going on this morning, in fact I got Linda up around 11:30AM so we could have lunch and I am then going to work.

Work didn’t go to bad, kind of busy but not to bad.  I took my tablet with me and played “Bubble Shoot” or something like that.  It sure makes the time go fast.

Thought I would get out of work on time but a camper came in about five minutes before closing.  They had vehicle problems and they aren’t sure what is going on with it so by the time I got them parked and got the books changed it was a little after seven then I had to stop at Wal Mart for some buns and some Cole Slaw for the BBQ.  Kind of like it with Cole Slaw.

We took it easy tonight, nothing going on so we watched a little TV and played on the tablets for awhile….Night Y’all…

Friday September 28th 2012

Well this morning is pretty cool and I decided to do a little more cleaning in the garage.  I am getting rid of some of things and getting other things ready to get rid of, well, sell some stuff.  I have lots of things that I don’t really need.

We went into town and Linda is going to McDonald’s to download a few games on her tablet.  I left her there and after I left I thought I should probably have helped her get online but she has done it before and I have my phone in case she has a problem.

I looked for a window for the garage but didn’t find anything I could use.  It would take some finagling to get anything to work.  I need to go to Menard’s and take a look there.  I did buy a dowel rod for a snow shovel.  Cost almost $4 but I think it will work.

Went back over to McDonald’s and Linda hadn’t gotten on line.  Well, she thought she was on line but wasn’t so I had to give her a hand doing that and then had to wait for almost two hours while she did her thing.  Got a couple of hamburgers while I waited for her.

Went to Wal Mart then and got a few things before heading home.

Daniel decided to wait until Saturday to move his stuff so we got the rest of the morning off.

Not a lot more going on today just take it easy I guess so I will say Night Y’all….

Thursday September 27th 2012

Well, it’s raining!  It is raining hard!  I will call Mark later and ask him about today.  I don’t think I will be working.  Had a hard time getting Sparky out this morning with the rain, lightning and thunder.

I texted Mark around 8:30AM and said it was raining and he texted back and said “yep”.   I didn’t go into work.  All I was going to do today was spray Roundup I think, so I will take it easy.

It quit raining around 9AM and I cleaned some more in the garage.  Didn’t know if it would rain anymore or not but I had a bunch of stuff to burn from the garage.  I worked until around noon in the garage and it is starting to look a little better!

Didn’t take to long to get it on but it was cloudy and looked like rain and I finished in time!  Rained like crazy!

OK, this afternoon I played a game on the tablet.  All afternoon until the battery went dead.  Had a good time!

Not much going on tonight.  I fixed us a piece of cake.  Spice cake and I put some cream cheese frosting on mine, really rich.

Wonder if it is going to rain today???  It is cloudy, well, kind of cloudy but I think I will still have to go to  work.  Called Mark to make sure and he said yes.

I mowed Russell Street today, even got a before picture…

Now I don’t have an after picture and seeing as how almost all that I mowed was wild onions guess it wouldn’t look much different.

I got back to the shop around 1PM and got all the stuff unloaded and put away.  I had a sandwich then got the sprayer ready.  I spayed the first bottle and for the second one I needed the golf cart to go to the other end of the park.  The cart doesn’t run very good.. in fact it runs terrible….

I sprayed another bottle and then I was going to spray the third one and Mark said maybe the cart needs to be run (hard)!  I ran around the park about ten times and the cart was smoking!  Going to spray another bottle and decided to do it again, around the park and around the mobile home park a few times and the cart was smoking like crazy, maybe some of the crud is being burnt out of the exhaust system!  Hope so, once it gets hot it runs great!

Mark said it was to windy to spray any more so I went on home.  The parts for the camper came in and it isn’t raining so I installed the vent and the vent cover.  Took awhile to do it but by the time I was done the lightning and thunder were getting closer and louder.  Glad I’m done and the lid is back in place.

Went to church tonight at Morehouse again.  I enjoy Pastor Randy, he is really down to earth and loves the Lord.

Wanted to get this done tonight and here it is!!!  Night Y’all…

It is a little warmer this morning than it has been.  Supposed to get up into the middle 80s today.

I went into town and picked up some fittings for the camper. The low point drains wouldn’t work!  I also ordered the steel for the garage roof.  More than I wanted to spend but it should fix the leak and make it really dark in there. I wanted to get a window and I forgot to look for one, maybe next time.

When I got home I started working on the drain and found the problem, thought it was Styrofoam but it was lime or calcium in the line.  Also found out that the drains didn’t turn, even though they did, they pull up instead of turning and that was probably most of my problem!  I think I have it fixed now and I also kept the drains. May need them sometime.

I saw some Monarch butterflies in our tree…

A couple of years ago these branches were loaded with butterflies.

At work today a guy came in with a camper he restored…

This is Chuck….

This is really a small camper but it is beautiful!  He did a great job.  Not sure if this was his first time camping or the first time in this camper, the way he was talking this is his first camping trip.  Nice guy.

Oh, this morning I looked at the checking account balance and it was pretty low so I checked into it and Camping World had charged my account three times for the things I ordered which came to around eleven hundred dollars!!!!  Not good!  I called them and they said their computers did things this way, not good at all.  I wonder if they would cover a non sufficient fund check because they have my money tied up????  I think they have a problem, now my problem.

Got out of work on time and home pretty early.  New shows on tonight on TV so that will keep us busy.  Time to say Night Y’all….

Another cool morning but not quite like yesterday. 

After drinking coffee and enjoying the morning I decided to put the awning out on the camper and let it dry out.  It is pretty dirty so I figured I may as well wash it.  That took awhile but it needed it.

I tried checking the low point drains on the camper and they sure don’t seem to be draining.  I hooked up air and some water came out and I hooked up the water again and a little water came out so I figured there must be something wrong with the valves so I thought I would try to take them off and replace them.  What a job!!!  Hard pipe and clamps!  Took me about a half hour just to get them off.  Found the problem, pieces of Styrofoam in the lines.  I put the air back on it again and it seems to be clear.

I went into town and got some parts for the camper and also ordered some steel for the garage roof.  The roof on the garage leaks at the peak so I am going to replace the peak.  Spent more than I wanted to but that is OK if it works.

Had to stop at a couple other places and I think I got all that I wanted to before coming home.  I even got gas for the lawn mower.

Well, we watched TV tonight, Castle.  I like Castle.  It seems like a good show.  More coming on this week that should also be good!

I think I will try the church in Morehouse again.   I went there for a long time but have been trying different churches while we are here in Sikeston, while in Texas we go the the Mission First Baptist Church.

I got out to the church about 8:45AM and no one was around.  The sign says Sunday School starts at 10:00AM and I don’t think I will wait around for that.  I headed back into Sikeston and went to Fellowship.  Still was really early but the Sunday School and Church services were very good.

We took it easy this afternoon.  We fixed an egg and toast for lunch. Linda bought a new frying pan, one with green on the inside.  She says it really works great!  It isn’t real big but works very good.

I played more games this afternoon on the tablet.  Getting exasperated! I’m not sure I even finished one level, sure makes the time go fast though.

Went to Morehouse First General Baptist Church tonight.  I remembered most of the names, I was surprised! They have hired a Choir director, John, and he is doing a good job.  Actually I have sung in a quartet with him.  I think that he wants to start another quartet.  I’m interested!

Well, I made it home around 7:30PM and we pretty much took it easy the rest of the night.
