Sunday April 29th 2012

This is Sunday morning, Linda isn’t feeling to good so I guess I will go to church by myself.

Sunday School was good and the teacher, Jim, was looking at the attendance records and was saying we have a lot in this class but a lot of them I don’t know, like Joel and Linda Floto, which really doesn’t surprise me because I don’t know very many last names either.  I let him know though that that was us.  He knew my first name but not last. That is kind of funny because I don’t like to say my last name.  People can’t pronounce it even after I spell it so it is a lot easier just using my everyday name, Joel.

I’m not going to enlarge this because it is blurry. This is Pastor Joe singing a special and he is a good singer. My camera doesn’t take very good pictures inside without the flash.  Also this was using the telephoto lens and that doesn’t help either because I can’t hold it still and the subjects don’t hold still either.

I picked up some chicken from Food Giant again.  They have good chicken so we had that with baked potato and asparagus for our dinner.  Yummy!

Tonight was Pastor’s last message on Angels. It was very good and had some things in there that made me more confused.  He agrees with Pastor Don about the sons of God taking the daughters of men and the offspring being “giants” were not angels (wonder what they were?).  He used the scripture in the New Testament about the woman with seven brothers as husbands.  In Heaven there will be no marriage we will be like the angels. They cannot reproduce…hummmmm…I’m confused!  That really doesn’t take much though.

Well, tonight we watched a little TV and I played some games on the computer then, yup, I went to bed….Night Y’all…

Saturday April 28th 2012

I think that the weather is going to be great today.  I took a picture of Sparky and me outside. I was going to get one with Bud laying in the other chair but he heard another dog bark and he was gone in a flash so it is just Sparky and me…

Sparky is also wondering what is going on over there…

Didn't do a lot this morning, was great sitting outside having coffee though.  The little gnats are really pests though.

I was surprised this afternoon at work.  Daniel stopped by with Wesley.  Well, it could have been Keaton, I can’t tell them apart but they have a new puppy, Daisy, and I hope I can find the picture…

Daisy is part Dachshund and is really cute..  I think Daniel is going to be our neighbor again.  Will be nice to have him back.

Work went pretty good, really slow though.

Not much going on tonight either. Guess we are pretty boring today.  Night Y’all….

Friday April 27th 2012

The wind is blowing out of the North like crazy!  It is cool this morning but I think it is supposed to make it to seventy (it didn’t).

I had ordered a tent for Dee and the kids.  I really should have had it sent to California.  We went into town to pick it up but need to waste some time so we went to Food Giant shopping.  They had some pretty good deals on meat.  We bought more than we needed for sure!

When we got to Wal Mart I went to the “Site to Store” place and they had a really hard time with their computers but they finally got in and found the tent.  The box was a lot bigger than I thought it would be.  I found Linda and we finished our shopping and we went on home.  I had to take a picture of the box and send it to Dee to ask if she wanted us to put it up or if she wanted the honors of being first….

The box takes up most of the “love seat” so I at least took it out of the box. When we head to CA we are going to have a loaded car!

Linda found out that her brother, Bobby, in Amarillo, is in pretty bad shape so we will stop there on the way out to California to see them.

Work again today!  I work in the office again.  Linda bought me a Sudoku book to mess with at work.  I kept kind of busy.  Mark and his mother, Mary Lou, planted flowers.  I finished on time and got out on time.  Nice relaxing night tonight.  I played on the computer for awhile and Linda worked on her puzzles.  More tomorrow….Night Y’all…

Back to work again today. It is a beautiful day, supposed to get some showers but right now it is great!

When I got to work, Mark had all three golf carts loaded on the trailer ready to go to Neelyville to get them fixed, again.  He took them all last year and only one ran for the duration and it wasn’t running good.

Mark said his in-laws house burnt to the ground this morning.  That is a real bummer.  We know Dave and Ellen, they are are very nice couple.

I had more than enough to keep me busy again today.  Spraying Roundup and weed eating never gets done.  I had some other things to do also.  I did change the blades on the mower but I didn’t get the old ones sharpened.

Mark made it back early this afternoon with all three carts!!!  I was surprised.  Not sure what they had to do to them but I guess it wasn’t much.  I used one golf cart and I wasn’t impressed with the way it ran.  I used it to go to the burn pile so I could spray some more and I was wondering if I was even going to make it there.  I don’t think it runs good but then that is my opinion.  As long as it gets from point “A” to point “B” then I guess it is OK…

Got out of work on time and I am sore again today.  Maybe I will get used to this and won’t hurt quite so bad, you think?

When I got home I mowed the lawn, Larry had mowed his and the neighbors.  I was kind of amazed that I got off work at 5:30 got home mowed the lawn and took a shower and it was only 6:40PM.  I think that was fast.  I don’t waste time mowing.

Linda fixed a great supper tonight.  She had chicken and salad with a piece of  “Key Lime” pie for desert.  The salad was great, she put all kinds of stuff in it!  I ran out of Ranch Dressing though and had to use some Caesar dressing which isn’t my favorite.

Took some Aleve tonight and I feel pretty good and even got a little nap while watching TV….Night Y’all…

Wednesday April 25th 2012

Well, lets see, what all did I do today???  The wind is blowing, not bad yet but I think it will blow pretty hard today.  It is a little chilly but is supposed to get nice and warm

Mark made out a list of things that need to be done so I guess I will start with the things outside because it sure looks like it could rain.  I was right it started raining, well, sprinkling, but it was enough for me to get wet.  I didn’t stop what I was doing, I figure it won’t hurt me to get a little wet.

I sprayed Roundup, used the weed eater, blew off the driveway, fixed picnic tables and changed the oil in the mower.  I didn’t get it all done but I got a good start at it.  I will finish doing what I can tomorrow.

Linda fixed fish tacos for supper, they were excellent!  A little messy but I think she has the formula down right now.  I would compare them to a restaurant style fish taco and better than most.  It was really good.

Watch a little TV tonight then to bed.

Need prayer for Daniel and Rachel, they have some more problems in their lives.  I’m sure the Lord will take care of them though.

The days off sure seem to go fast, but then all the days seem to go fast!!

This morning I kept pretty busy outside.  I am cleaning the garage (kind of) and burning a lot of the things I don’t need  and then some of the things that won’t burn I take into the dumpster. Doesn’t really look like I’ve made a dent in the “stuff”!

Back to work this afternoon.  The office is kind of boring but the time still seems to go pretty fast.

Mark did some mulching this afternoon and I think it looks pretty good!

I took another picture of a camper and, well, you will see…

These people use this to travel back and forth to Texas.  Talking with them, they go to Mission TX to Mission West RV Park!  What a small world!  We go to Mission West to go dancing.  Well, we’ve only gone twice but will probably go more next year.  They seem like very nice people.

Well, the rest of the afternoon went kind of slow, got all the chores done and waited until time to go home in my little cubicle…

Not a lot of space to roam around in here.

Everything went well and I got out on time and the count came out right!  There wasn’t much to count!!

Tonight will be a relaxing night, not going to do anything special.  I watched some things I had taped like AFV and Linda watched “Dancing With the Stars”.  Parts of the show is

OK but the have way to much information for me.

Let me tell you it is chilly outside this morning!  The wind is blowing out of the North and it is cloudy!

We decided to take a ride into town to get a few odds and ends done. We stopped at a couple of furniture places to look at recliners.  Found one that wasn’t to bad but not sure if I want to spend the money to get it.  The salesman said to wait until next Thursday and everything will be on sale.  OK we will wait.  We stopped at another furniture store to look around and we saw Sheila, from church, and talked to her for quite awhile.  She is very nice and a great singer. This is Sheila….

We stopped at a couple of other places, one being Aldi’s.  We like Aldi’s, they have great prices and pretty good food.  Their fresh produce is better than Wal Mart but we had to stop at Wal Mart anyway to get s couple of extra things for home.

I’ve been having trouble with the security light.  Sometimes it won’t come on and if I hit the pole it will come on then.  I decided to go up and try to tighten everything and so far it is working OK.

We just had soup and sandwiches for lunch and then this afternoon I took another nap but I sure didn’t feel very good afterward.  Not sure what happened but I have a little headache and I just don’t feel like doing much. I guess I will be OK later.

Didn’t do much the rest of the day, I worked on the computer for awhile but that was about it.  I think I will say Night Y’all..
