Just can’t sleep.  I woke up about 2:30AM and tossed and turned.  I think I am just excited.  Not sure about what, either heading back home or getting my package at the Post Office.  I can’t get online again so I am playing a few games until it is time to get busy loading “stuff”.  Hopefully I will get a few pictures before I post this…..

I went to the Carriere Post Office at 8:30AM and guess what??   Rhonda had a package for me.  She was so happy to get the package for me I just had to take here picture.   This was  my new little camera.  I really like it because it is small and I can stick it in my pocket and carry it around.  Unfortunately it doesn’t take very good pictures,,what a bummer.  Well I have to post a couple just to see what they look like on here.  I may have to do some practicing  with it, it may just be me!!!

These 2 pictures were taken with my new little camera.  To me they look really blurry.  The poor little car was really loaded down.  Had a good trip home though, got tired, We made it home about 7 PM, took about 8 and a half hours.  Long trip

We didn’t get any Crawfish.  I’m not sure I even saw any.  They were serving lunch though and it looked pretty good.  Well, it is 10PM and I think that I’m about ready for bed.  Probably won’t get this posted until tomorrow or later…….Good night all..

We were supposed to take off for Sikeston today, but we (Linda) changed our minds.  I have a package that is supposed to be here soon.  I tried all day to get on the computer and about 445PM I finally got on and the package is at the Post Office here in Carriere!  Well, Tomorrow I will go pick it up either while Linda is getting ready or after we leave.  It will be a little out of the way but I will have it to mess around with when we get home.   Lots to do at home, Taxes, license, mail etc…

Will watch some TV tonight and get to bed early.   Long drive tomorrow…

Monday March 15th 2010

Going to be a little busy today, we will be going to Steve and Pam’s tonight and we are going to make the spaghetti and pizza.  Should be a fun night.  Mat and Destiny will be there with Emma Kate and Ethan.  I will make sure I remember the camera. 

I took a walk this morning around the cemetery  a couple times.  It is a nice day, a little breezy and cool but still nice.

We made the pizza dough and spaghetti sauce here before going over to Steve and Pam’s.

Here is Linda putting the toppings on the pizza.

This is the finished product except the spaghetti is on the stove.  The bread looks a little funny.  I put it in a 9X13 pan and just curled it around. Worked pretty good.   I think Ethan ate more bread than anyone else.

Anna Grace is teaching Emma Kate to ride the electric scooter!

Anna Grace must be a good teacher, Emma Kate is doing an excellent job. I guess it doesn’t go really fast but it is a lot of fun for them.

Ethan needed his own transportation.  Didn’t go quite as fast, and it didn’t go good at all in the grass.

There are 10 of us here playing Zilch.  Had a good time, just look at Mat and how excited he is!

Here is Ethan playing a game called DS or something like that.   He didn’t have time to look up while we took his picture.  He played that game for about an hour I think!

Had to get a picture of Mat, Destiny, Emma Kate and Ethan.  We don’t get to see them very often even though they only live about 140 miles from us. Well we aren’t home very often though.  We had a great night and lots of laughs and fun.  Time to go home and get some sleep.  We were going to head for Sikeston  tomorrow but I think we will wait until Wednesday. We are expecting  a package and we will have to get in touch with the post office and see if they can’t forward it otherwise they will ship it back and it has taken a week and a half so far and it isn’t here yet.  Will see what we can do.

Saturday March 13th 2010

Today is another beautiful day, not as warm as it has been but sunny and warm enough.  The wind is blowing pretty hard from the north and makes it kind of chilly, unless you are in the sun.

We took a run into Wal Mart again today and on the way home I had Linda take a picture of the clouds.  The picture doesn’t do the beauty justice.  I was thinking on the ride and seeing the clouds that they are flat on the bottom but not on the top.  Not only are they flat on the bottom but they are almost exactly the same height.  I know that a scientist can explain why they are like this but the real question is WHO did it, and I almost guarantee that any scientist won’t admit it is God’s handiwork!!   Love it!.

This is Paw Paw’s Camper City.  I think this is the only sign they have and it is off the main drag.  We stopped by to see if our camper was still in the same spot and guess what????  It is gone!!!!  Must be inside the shop (they are closed) so maybe they are getting started on it.  By the time we get back from MO and IL they might be working on it.

Tonight is going to be a breakfast night.  Will make bacon, eggs, biscuits and gravy.  Can’t figure out why I can’t lose any weight.  Must be my metabolism!!!  I tried the new “fat” pills and sure enough, I got fat!!  Just kidding, I didn’t take any pills I just keep getting pleasantly plumper!!  Got to go, will watch a little TV tonight before going to bed……

Sunday March 14th 2010

Sunday morning, another gorgeous day!!   Sun is shining brightly and just a slight breeze, it is going to be really nice, probably close to 70 degrees.

Just walked out of the house, no need of a jacket, it is nice out.  This picture was after church and we are going to head to the Huddle House for lunch with Rick, Connie, Virgie, Linda and I.

This is the Huddle House just down the road from where Virgie lives and right next to the interstate (Hwy 59).  We checked it out and Linda said it smelled good but there was no place to sit down and Virgie can’t stand for very long periods. So, the Italian Grill is the next spot.

This is the Italian Grill!!  If you look close you can see me taking the picture in the reflection.  This used to be a God Father’s Pizza place and it wasn’t to bad either.

Had to take a picture of our Pizza!  If Charlie and Pat read this, this pizza is comparable to the Italian Garden that we go to.  This is a Spinach and Alfredo pizza.   It is excellent but still may fall a tad short of the Italian Garden White Pizza.

Linda isn’t going to wait for me!!!!  Neither is anyone else, I feel so left out:-(

Guess I am to blame for wanting to take a picture.  Pretty good picture for being inside a dark restaurant and not using the flash.  The rest of the food really looked good also.  I know that Rick had spaghetti and meatballs and Virgie had lasagna, can’t remember what Connie had though.  We all enjoyed.  The pizza was large enough to share and still take some home for (later).  Now to head home and take a nice nap.  I am doing this a little early but I think tonight is going to be a routine night.  The time change was a little different.  Set the clocks last night except for the 2 atomic clocks.  They are supposed to change by themselves.  They didn’t.  I had to set one for Day Light Savings Time and the other I had to restart, not sure if it goes to Day Light Savings Time or not.  Everything is set now though and we weren’t even late for church.

Probably watch some TV tonight after church.   Linda fixed some BBQ Spare Ribs which smell really good.  I may make some fried potatoes and onions to go along with them.  If we are hungry that will be our supper. Can’t figure out why my body is sagging!!!  I may have another picture later.

Nope, no more pictures, the BBQ was delicious though.  TV tonight…..

Another beautiful day, just gorgeous!   It was so nice today I went for a walk this morning around the cemetery, twice.  After that I got the lawn chair out and sat outside for an hour or so.  I decided to wash the car then. Well, I got the dust off of it anyway.  We aren’t planning on doing anything today, just lounging.  We coordinated the Monday night get together.  Will meet at Steve and Pam’s for pizza and spaghetti.  Wanted to get everyone together that will be home for part of the week anyway.  We will be heading back to Missouri on Tuesday or Wednesday next week then to Illinois for a visit up there.  No pictures for today, I was going to take one of the car (clean) but didn’t get around to it.

Thursday March 11th 2010

Since we didn’t go to Sikeston today, we planned to get together with Rick and Connie for supper.  Linda fixed fajitas!!  Excellent!!

In the top picture Linda is doing onions and bell peppers.  In the bottom picture is the chicken breasts for the fajitas.  Really smells good!!

Here is the spread.  Had to run back home to get a battery for the camera. First picture I tried to take the battery was dead.  The battery I had in reserve at home was also dead.  Bummer!   Good thing I had a 3rd one.  Didn’t figure I would ever need 3 batteries.  Going to get the other 2 charged so I won’t have to run around looking for charged batteries.

The picture above was what I wanted to get a picture of but didn’t get it before digging into it!   Oh well, it was good, angel food cake, cherry pie filling and cool whip…Excellent!

So excited!!!!

The DIVA!!!   Ms Johnny Merle is taking it easy, watching a little Andy Griffith, Mayberry RFD.  Had a good night.  Played a lot of Zilch tonight and a game of Toss Up but it is very noisy rolling those square dice on a very hard wooden table.  Didn’t get home until 11PM!   Way past our bedtime.
