We have been having some very beautiful weather!  The mornings are cool and the days get warm.  We have been, on an average, about ten degrees above the normal of 74.  I took a picture this morning, well, I think it was this morning, close anyway.  It was foggy and looked really neat with the sun shining through the fog…

Guess it really doesn’t look like much in the picture but I thought it was pretty neat,  Wonder why I can see any solar flares???

We are going to a Christmas Party this Saturday at the Rick Brown Family Center.  We stopped to ask them a question and got to see a lot of their place.  They attend church at MFBC where we attend when we are in the Valley.  They also have a funeral home there and it did sound kind of funny when she said the dinner would be in the Family Center and the entertainment would be in the Funeral Home.  She showed us the chapel where the entertainment is going to be.  WOW what a chapel, marble floors and that is about all I noticed except that it was really big. I think it will be a really good time and the entertainment is a high school group performing special dances and music.

This is a 1914 REO, or Oldsmobile.  Didn’t know that REO was Olds!  She said this is the first hearse with a motor.  It really looks great, would be terrible to drive because there isn’t much room  in it for the driver.  She said they would drive it in the parade in 2014 and it will be one hundred years old!  The also have another car, another Oldsmobile, a Merry Oldsmobile if I remember right..

Well, I have a “T” up there and I can’t get rid of it.  This computer is doing some weird things, I’m sure it isn’t me!!

I helped Joe this afternoon put on some tar paper and put in some windows.  He is adding a room and I thought I would at least help some. We got all the windows in and the paper on most of it except for the door end and the other door end and I was beat, the air was nice and cool but the sun was really hot!  We finished around five I guess and I went on home and took it easy the rest of the night. 

Whew!!  I need to do this everyday and not let it go.  I know that I have some things on the wrong days but it will still be OK, I won’t remember next week anyway…Time to say Night Y’all….

I did it again, I haven’t been writing my blog!!  Shame on me!

Now let me think, what did we do today???  We took off today and looked for parts for the water heater that came in yesterday, give or take a day!  We went to Home Depot and couldn’t find anything, well, the guy working there didn’t think they carried PEX pipe and fittings, time to head for Lowe’s.  The guy there was helpful, he showed me the fittings that would work for PEX so I picked up almost everything that I thought I would need.

We stopped at What a Burger for lunch.  They sure have good hamburgers. Got the burgers and fries and a drink for $7.  Really hit the spot.

We stopped at Harbor Freight to look for other parts and a saw.  I need the saw for when we start on the floor which will be “later”.  I need to get the water heater going first, just because we have it…

When we got home, and on the way in, Linda fell off our front steps.  I was already inside trying to get rid of stuff and get Sparky ready to go out.  She had to sit on the floor for awhile to get her breath and make sure nothing was broken.  She can move her hand, fingers and wrist so I think she will be OK.  I think she may have a big bruise because it is already swelling.

I’m trying to get Linda to help me remember and I think her memory is as bad as mine!!

I didn’t want to start on the water heater until I know that I have plenty of time.  Now this is kind of backward but at least it all happened this week!  Going to do another one and will put some different stuff in it.  Funny, if I don’t do this the day after, neither of us can remember what we did.

Another warm day today, beautiful in the morning, usually until noon or after then it gets warmer.

We went to Mission Bell for dance lessons.  We weren’t sure what kind of lessons they were, maybe line but we were kind of surprised, it was the two step, the bop and the waltz.  It lasts for an hour and a half and it is a half hour for each.  I thought it was great because I watch people at dances doing what I find out now, is called the bop.  I need to learn all of them but the bop is really neat.  They are all neat and we plan on going to a dance Thursday night and we will try to do some of the moves we have learned.  The dance instructors name is Ted and he is a good instructor.  I’m sure we will keep on with the lessons.  We went with Joe and Mary and Don and Cheryl.

After the lessons we stopped at a Ropa.  That is where they have all kinds of used clothes.  We bought a little cooler to take to the dances.  We can take a couple of waters or pop or something like that.

This afternoon we went to the pool and swam in really cold water, it was supposed to be seventy three degrees but felt like fifty until we got used to it.  We also went in the hot tub which was a warm ninety three degrees.  Got tired and warm.  Linda was kind of hurting and it really helped.

Here’s another picture of our orange tree.  I think I picked about forty the other day and it doesn’t look like I picked any.  I will pick some more.  Mary gave us a juicer and it works pretty good.

Here is another picture of our sage bush.  It is blooming again.  Not sure why it quit, thought maybe it was because I watered it, but maybe that is why it is blooming again????

We have been having some very warm weather.  They say it is a little warmer than normal but not much.  It has been in the middle 80s but as long as the breeze is blowing it has been pretty nice.

Went to church, Linda couldn’t get up so I went alone.  Got a picture of the kids that sang a special and I don’t know their names…

I’m not sure if they are brother or sister but they did a good job, nice voices but I have a hard time understanding the words.

This was the preacher that filled in and I think they called him Nicky but I’m probably wrong…

He had a great sermon on “love”.  Started with the scripture on knowing a disciple by their love for one another.  He did a good job.

Sunday School was also good.  I had a couple of questions for the teacher, Rosalie.  She has some different views on some of the scriptures, will see next week what she has to say about them.

We took it easy the rest of the day.  Linda is still tired and not feeling quite up to par.

Today is a day we are going to take it easy!!  After the last two nights dancing we are kind of wiped out!

I took a couple of pictures, the first is our kitchen and our new refrigerator. I can’t remember but I think I may have the new light up. Unfortunately I took this picture a few days ago..

Nope, the old light is still there, I haven’t put it up yet, maybe on the next picture…

Another pretty sunrise picture and the two palm trees.  This was really a colorful sunrise.

Linda took a nap this afternoon and I fell asleep in the chair with Sparky. Not a lot going on today, I even tried to watch some TV tonight and kept falling asleep and I think I missed the ending of all the programs, Oh well, I don’t think I missed a whole lot..

The weather has been very warm.  We ran our fan all night, would be pretty bad without it.

Linda and I hosted the coffee klatch today. Turned out pretty good..

I made some cinnamon rolls.  Everything was gone except for some of the fruit, which we brought home.

We went to a flea market with Don and Cheryl.  It was called Pulga also. I found a coffee server for three dollars.  Have one at home in the camper but that doesn’t do me any good here.

They have all kinds of stuff there.  Linda found some things she wanted and also bought a big bag with a zipper. I found a light for the kitchen and it was a good price.  We also got a pineapple and some tomatoes.  Had a good time but it sure got hot, we finally bought a couple of hats for two dollars apiece but they sure helped with the sun.

We stopped at Whataburger for lunch.  They have great hamburgers.

Went dancing tonight.  The Renaissance Rockers were there, they are good.

Cheryl is having a good time..

Mary and Linda are having a good time!

We got home around ten and we were tired and kind of sore.  I think we will sleep good tonight!

Went out today to look for a shower base.  Didn’t have any luck.  They make the tub the size we need but not a shower base.  I think we will probably use the old tub and lower it down about four inches which will be good for Linda because it wouldn’t be quite so high and for me because I would be able to stand in the shower.

I ordered a tank less water heater from Camping World.  It is something that has to be outside and hooked to a tank of LP gas.  I am looking forward to getting it.  Our electric water heater really uses a lot of electricity and runs out of water fast.  I think I have already written about this but here it is again.

Went to Wal Mart to get a few things.  After leaving there I wanted to eat at a place we see when we go to Wal Mart, it is called Tamale Central.  They don’t speak English, well, some of them did.  Linda got a burrito and I got four tacos.  Linda could only eat half of hers and she took the rest home.  I ate all of mine…

The above picture is Jack and  Mary’s place.  Wonder if they will be the only one to decorate for Christmas.  Linda did pick up a Christmas tree for a dollar and set it on the table, looks kind of nice!

We went dancing tonight with Joe and Mary, and Don and Sheryl.  Had a good time, not even sure what the name of the place was.  It was a country band and they were pretty good.  Tried a little line dancing and found out we had forgotten all we learned last year.  What a bummer…
