Well, it is nice this morning but I know it is supposed to get warm,  not as bad as yesterday but pretty warm.  I know I am going to mow all day which is a lot better than trying to find something else to do.

I mowed Russell Street first and it really needed it.  I think it has probably been at least six weeks since it has been mowed.  It was bad.  Always trash laying around and the weeds and sand burrs are really bad.  I think it will have to be mowed again in a couple of weeks.

I got back around 1:15PM, took a break and started mowing the RV park. I didn’t get the whole RV Park mowed.  To make it short I quit around 5:30 and headed home.  There is a storm coming and on the way home it really started blowing.  Kept looking around for a tornado but didn’t see anything but dust blowing.

When I got home I pulled in the garage and it started sprinkling and the wind picked up even more and the rain started.  The temperature is starting to drop and it is feeling good.  I opened up a window, which is downwind and tried opening the door but it doesn’t work.  The small kitchen window works good. Nice breeze coming in.

I am putting some more pictures on the hard drive and hopefully I will be able to put all of my blogs on there also.

More DNC, not looking forward to listening to it.  They sound good but I know they are liberal and their morals are not very high.  Sure don’t want them back again but like I said, God is in control…  Night Y’all…

Well, it is cloudy this morning but I can still see blue sky every now and then.  I would imagine at work I will probably do some mowing at work. I figure I will probably mow Russell Street, it hasn’t been mowed for about six weeks and we don’t know what it looks like but I imagine it needs to be mowed.  Well, I was wrong, he wants me to stay here and find something to do.  Well, with all the rain I figure that mowing will be needed. 

I mowed all day except for a break at noon for lunch and to get gas.  In the afternoon I did take time to dump the trash.  It needed to be dumped and it probably won’t be dumped again until Saturday when I work the office.

It has been a pretty good day to mow. It has been really warm but I can handle that.  I worked until 5:30PM and headed home.  Bits gave me a couple of water melons to take home.  I gave Linda one and the other I left at the neighbors house.  Linda likes water melon, I don’t care for it.

Linda fixed fish tacos tonight.  Boy are they good.  She used a little to much cayenne pepper though.  Kind of makes your eyes water!

I figure tonight would be a good time to check and see if the external hard drive has the pictures I put on it last night and whether I can get them open if they are actually there.  Surprise!!  It works like a champ, the picture folders are all listed which I was kind of surprised but they are all listed as I put them in there.  I like the hard drive!!

Well, the DNC is on and we are watching it and it is sad that they all believe in same sex marriage and almost everything that God said wasn’t the way He planned it.  Again, I think he will get reelected and I wonder what our country will be like after four more years of this.  My opinion is our country is on a slippery downhill slide and doesn’t look like anything is going to stop it.  I definitely could be wrong and I sure hope I am.  We will see what happens in the next few years..

I forgot yesterday to say we did a little cleaning.  I cleaned out two closets and threw a bunch of stuff away and gave a lot to Goodwill.  We have to much “stuff”.  I have a lot in the garage I think I will sell.  I’m sure I’m not going to be using it so I think selling it would be good.  We also found the keys that we forgot when we went to Texas.  Now we can unlock the locks we couldn’t when we were there.  We changed the deadbolt so that key we have with us.

It is warm this morning, well, it is very humid and muggy.  Sure couldn’t open the house.  The breeze isn’t bad but still way to humid and it is supposed to get real warm today.

Work went good today, had quite a few campers come in and I kept busy for most of the day.

This morning I got my external hard drive out and decided to play with it again and see if I could figure it out.  I found that it had some pictures on it and I thought I would try to put more on from the old computer.  I worked for about and hour and I think, maybe, I put on a bunch more pictures on it. I hopefully will be able to put all my blogs that I have written on it.  I don’t want to loose them and it is kind of hard to find them on the internet.  I will try that later.  The hard drive has 500 gigs and that should be enough to put everything on that I have ever done or ever will do…

Taking it easy tonight and watching some of the DNC.  Hate to say it but I think Obama will be reelected. God is in control.  Night Y’all..

Well, Linda still isn’t feeling well, kind of lethargic I guess is what you would call it.  She is sleeping a lot and just doesn’t feel good.

We did go into town this afternoon, she wanted to get some vitamins and stuff like that.  Cost a lot so we must have gotten a lot!

We had chicken patties for our “late” lunch.  They are pretty good fried up and on a bun.  Good lunch.

Linda ordered some “stuff” on line and had a hard time getting it.  Then tonight she got a call and I think it must have been from India or somewhere, the person wasn’t nice and wouldn’t take no for an answer so I got on the phone and she hung up, can you imagine that?  I didn’t even have time to say anything other than my name.  Hopefully she isn’t going to get charged for something she doesn’t want.

I have been trying to figure out my backup thing, not sure I like it but hopefully it will work OK.  I haven’t been able to figure it out.  Got a bunch of Chinese writing and a word in English that said error.  Not sure what that means but hopefully I can get it working.  Wondering if I can back up one computer and put it on another, it doesn’t say anything about it.  I would really like to back up all the pictures and my blog from the very start until now.  I am going to give it a try and if it doesn’t work, I’m sure I will take it back and then get some more of the little storage cards, they hold a lot of stuff for something that is so small, I’m amazed!

Well, not much going on tonight, oh, we did talk to Daniel today and he is moving in, or has moved in, next door.  Glad to have him back as a neighbor.

Anyway, time to say night y’all….

Thinking I will probably go to North Acres this morning.  I like the church, all churches have their little quirks but I have enjoyed almost all of them!

I won’t go into Sunday School except to say that it was good and lots of discussion.  The teacher said this was way to big for one day and she was right we probably didn’t get half way thru the lesson but it was good.  We talked a lot about sin.  Wondering, if you tell a singer they did a real good job and it was terrible, is that a lie?  Sure isn’t the truth is it?  Kind of what our discussion was about.

Church was very good also, had a little bit of something going on before church so he didn’t get his whole sermon done.

Got a picture of Bud, he sang the special this morning and it really was a good song, “The Last Mile of the Way”.  What a message.

I don’t know how old he is but I would say in his late 80s or early 90s.  Not many young people in this church.

We had gone to the Outlet Mall a few days ago and I got a pastry roller. I’ve been looking for one of these for a long time.  The kids each have one and they work really good in small spaces…

It isn’t very big but does a good job and takes up a lot less room than a rolling pin (we have a rolling pin).  Should work great for making cinnamon rolls.

Taking it easy this afternoon., even took a nap.

Got ready and went to church tonight, going to go back to North Acres but when I got there I remembered church was cancelled and I decided to stop at Aldi’s for a few things before going home.  I know other churches cancelled tonight because tomorrow is a holiday.  Oh well, next week.

Watched a little TV tonight and then to bed….Night Y’all…

Saturday September 1st 2012

This is the first day of the month and I will work this afternoon.  It is cloudy and it did rain a little last night, not much but the grass is wet.

I think it is going to get pretty warm today, it is mostly cloudy though and maybe we will get a little more rain.  We sure need it.

Today is going to be a slow day at work I can tell.  No reservations and it is kind of stormy, not raining but the wind is blowing hard.  Not a real good day for traveling with a camper.  I got all the chores done and decided to try my tablet again, games, which is kind of fun.  I have a game called bubble buster and I played it most of the afternoon, when I didn’t have people coming in the office.  It is the first of the month so we have people coming in and paying their rent.  The game kind of gets to you and it is still kind of fun.

About 5PM the wind came up the tornado sirens started going off as did the weather radio which has an obnoxious warning tone.  The wind really came up and finally it started raining, hard!  It was mostly waves but when it rained it really rained hard.  I bet our grass greens up now!

I got out of the office just a little after 7PM and headed home, in the rain, which was really coming down.  At home it was still raining but since I park in the garage I was dry getting out of the car but not when I  got to the house.

We got our battery powered lantern out and had it ready. The lights dimmed and kind of went out a couple of times.  We must have gotten at least an inch of rain and it is still sprinkling.  Maybe we will get a soaker!

We finally went to bed around 11PM.  The storm seems to have passed but when I took Sparky out the last time it was still drizzling so we are getting a pretty good rain.  Well, time to say Night Y’all….

This summer is going by pretty fast.  Last day of August already.  It is very warm this morning and humid.  It is sprinkling and we are supposed to get quite a bit of rain from Isaac but so far just sprinkles and some wind.

I decided to back up my pictures from the new computer. I had an 8 gig card that I had backed up a lot of stuff on and I don’t know if I can get it off or not, sure doesn’t want to do anything so I cleaned the card and then put all the pictures I have on this computer onto the card. I then downloaded the pictures on Linda’s computer and I have found out that the pictures from my camera are really grainy and not very good but the pictures from her camera are a lot better so I changed the setting on my camera from 3.1 to 6 mega pixel and we will see how that works.  Took a couple pictures with it….

Sparky is posing.  When I transfer these to the SD Card I will have to transfer them to Linda’s computer to see if they are any better.  I would like a new camera but if I can get this one to work good I may save the  money.

We thought about going to Menard’s today but decided not to.  I figured we would get some storms so I really didn’t want to be out and about.  Well, we didn’t get much rain today, so much for the storms.

We really didn’t do much today, we fixed egg burritos for lunch and took it easy the rest of the day.  Sparky and I got to spend some time outside but it is pretty warm and humid.  We even got some sunshine.  Guess the farmers don’t really need the rain now but I would sure like to see the grass green up again.
