Well it is a beautiful day and I suppose I will have to mow today seeing how we got quite a bit of rain!  When I got to the campground my first hint that something that was wrong was the sign on the building…

I believe the rest of it says Park and Campground!   That part is on the ground.

Nest thing was the big sign by the road.

It just took those 6x6’s that the sign was on and just snapped them!

The wind took out about 14 sections of this wooden fence!  Guess they had a lot of wind!

I spent most of the day picking up branches and dumping them on the burn pile.  Lots of branches and a couple of trees, not big trees but trees just the same.

I was tired and kind of sore by the time I went home.  I was ready to take it easy for sure.  Night Y’all…

Monday June 4th 2012

I’m hurting today!!!  My back hurts like crazy,  I sure don’t know why but I couldn’t hardly get out of bed!   I took some Aleve and hopefully it will help later.

Sparky and I went outside and walked around for awhile and I feel pretty good while I lean on the railing but when I straighten up it still hurts pretty bad.

I figure I may as well do something so I started putting insulation in the pump house.  I’m not feeling great but I feel like working on the pump house.  Once I got started I really didn’t want to stop.  I took a picture..

Maybe it isn’t pretty but I think it is getting pretty close to being ready for winter!  In the house we can’t tell when the pump is running.  I’ve flushed the toilet a couple of times just to see and the pump house is right outside the bathroom.  Can’t hear a thing!  Not sure that is good but at least it works!  I think that there are storms coming tonight so hopefully the pump house doesn’t leak!

Linda fixed some potato salad and some sloppy Joe’s for supper, excellent!  I boiled the potatoes and eggs and Linda fixed the rest!

We had a pretty good evening and the lightning and the thunder started and it seemed most of it was to our East so I suppose that mean we won’t get any again.  Wrong, we got some rain and then later we got a lot more rain!  We haven’t gotten this much rain in I don’t know how long!  Love it! Praise the Lord!!!!

It is cloudy out but not as cool as it has been the last couple of days. Hopefully we will get some rain.  Maybe it will settle the dust!

Sunday School and Church were good as usual.  I didn’t get a picture of the singers for the special music.  I’ve never seen them before.  It was Pastor Joe’s daughter and her husband.  He is a preacher somewhere but I don’t know where.

We decided to have pizza for lunch.  It is to hot to have the oven going so I took it out to the camper, started the generator and cooked it in the convection oven.  I think it turned out quite well even though the crust wasn’t quite done.  I liked it like that.  We ate it anyway.

We did get some rain tonight.  Not much but it will dampen the ground a little.  Got a beautiful sunset.  Picture doesn’t do it justice though.

Well, going to take it easy tonight…Night Y’all…

If I have mistakes in my blog I’m sorry but I can’t get the scroll to work.  I think I need to start using the new computer but that is a problem also.  I can’t post to this blog from the other computer, what a bummer!!!

Well, I never quite know what I’m going to do when I get up, especially on a day off.  I started looking at the pump house and figured I may as well work on it.  I figure I have until this Fall when we go to Texas to get it finished.  The water is working and I’m pretty sure it isn’t going to freeze this summer.  The insulation went a little better than I thought it would.  The plastic sheeting went a little better than I thought it would.  Actually the plastic sheeting went very well.  Working with a twenty five foot by ten foot sheet of plastic isn’t really easy but it went pretty fast and I covered all the inside and the top plus the top on the outside and I used every bit of the roll of plastic!  I put the plastic in for an air barrier.  May not have been the right place to put it but this winter will put it to the test.

I quit for awhile to take a break and decided that I needed to put at least one piece of steel siding on so I could hook up the water bib.  Not easy for me to cut a hole in the steel but I got it done.  I put the sheet on and put the bib in and got it hooked up.  I don’t really trust my work.  I am using a union that just has rubber and nuts to tight it up.  Well, I have had it come loose a few times and it really makes a mess.  This time, so far, it has worked just fine.  I turn the water off to the bib because I still don’t trust it.

I finished putting the steel on the bottom part and took a break.  Figured I would quit for the day, but no, I had two pieces of steel left to go and I just had to go out and finish it up.  Got a couple of pictures…

Looks kind of funny to have a ladder to work on this doesn’t it?  The plastic on the top inside I just couldn’t reach!

I’m going to call this the finished product even though it isn’t finished. I still have to put the corners on and finish the insulation on the inside.  Maybe before we leave for Texas?

Not much else going on today, I was really pleased with the way the pump house turned out and I’m tired again so will take it easy the rest of the night…..Night Y’all….

Guess I will have to change the date on yesterday's blog.  I was so tired that I didn’t really know what I was doing.  I imagine the blog contained a lot of mistakes.

Did some more work on the pump house this morning.  It has been going pretty good.  I have started putting in the insulation.  I’m not sure how I’m going to do the whole thing though.  I’m putting in rolled fiberglass, plastic sheeting and Styrofoam.

I needed to take a break this afternoon so we went in to town and I stopped at the camp ground and returned the walkie talkie that I brought home with me yesterday.

Linda fixed a spaghetti dish tonight.  Not sure what you call it but it was pretty good.  Had lots of different things in it like tomatoes, garlic, basil and a few other things.  It was pretty good!

Didn’t do much of anything else, just to tired!  Night Y’all…

Thursday 31st2012

OK I’m having a problem getting this done and staying awake. 

I worked in the shower again this morning  I got it pretty well done. I painted the pipes.  Not easy spray painting something silver that is so close to the shiny white!

This afternoon we worked on cutting down another tree.  Well, we didn’t cut it down, Mark pushed it over with the tractor.  We didn’t get it all done because we are getting some needed rain.

We have a lot to do to finish this tree but we will get it plus another five or ten.  May take awhile though.

On my way home it rained like crazy but the closer I got to home the less it rained and when I made it home we hadn’t had any rain.  What a bummer.

Well, I decided to sit for awhile and relax.  I couldn’t stay awake and it definitely wasn’t from working to hard.  During the night tonight I woke up with a bad headache, sinus, and I staggered around and got a couple Aleve and went back to bed.  It helped. 

Backing it up a little I didn’t do anything the rest of the day.  I was going to work on the pump house but just couldn’t get myself to go out and do it.

Back to work at the campground today.  I know that I won’t be mowing, it is so dry the grass isn’t really growing very fast.  The weeds aren’t doing to bad though.  I mowed the center island in the mobile home park after I finished painting the shower in the men’s room.

I know it doesn’t look like much, but you can see the wall shine!  It is nice and white and looks clean!  The fumes were really bad, had to stop a few times to get fresh air.

Tomorrow I paint the water pipes.  Glad I didn’t have to paint the whole bathroom.  The smell, or fumes, are really bad.

I think I figured out the lawn mower.  It hasn’t been running very good and I thought I would try it with one of the spark plugs off.  Didn’t make any difference.  Wonder if I had taken the other off instead if the tractor would have run at all???

Not much else going on.  Supposed to get a little cooler tonight but at bedtime it hadn’t really changed any…well, night y’all…
