It is cold this morning  Not to warm up a lot, maybe get in the upper 50’s.

I have been trying to start the mower and haven’t had a lot of luck doing it. I think it is just to cold for it to turn over.  I would like to have gotten it done this morning but won’t hurt if I can’t.

We didn’t do much today, I have to work this afternoon.  Bits needs Tuesday off so instead of working a full day I work a half day then on Wednesday and Thursday I work full days.

Work actually went quite well!  We had 25 campers come in but they were spread out and I didn’t have any trouble getting them parked..

Not much going on tonight either.  I see Kim is online and I may try Skype to talk to her…. Night Y’all…..

Monday April 4th 2011

This is my day off, let me think what did we do??? What did we do???  I haven’t gotten any pictures and sometimes that reminds me of what we did.

Woke up to thunder, Sparky is kind of scared of thunder but he does OK. Went outside and it was still very warm.  It was still very warm in the house. I think it was about 76 in the house.  About an hour later we went back out and the temperature was down around 50.  The wind is out of the north and it is very cold.

Linda and I went into town later to take care of a few things and took Sparky with us.  He stays in his cage.  It wasn’t hot so I figure he would be OK.  We did our shopping and looking around.  Bought some more things for Linda to check her glucose level.  Not the right ones so we had to buy a new meter to go with the checker things.  Now Linda has a back up.

It rained like crazy today.  I think the farmers needed it but some areas had winds, not tornado, but straight line winds of about 70 miles per hour.  That is a lot of wind!!  It was windy here but nothing like that!

Not much else going on.  Sparky is really getting to act different.  He wants to go to bed about 9PM.  He doesn’t want to play just go to bed. Strange!!!

He likes going to bed earlier than I do.  Well, guess it’s time for us to go to bed also….Night Y’all….

It is sooooo windy out today!!  It is warm though and supposed to get up into the 70s!  Sure hope so.

Went to church at Fellowship again this morning. The youth pastor had charge today.He did a pretty good job a lot of his sermon had to do with giving to the Lottie Moon thing.  He also had a sermon on prayer and what he would like people to pray for in the church.

On the way home I thought I would get blown off the road!  The wind was out of the South about 40 MPH or more.   The dust in the air was really bad.  Just before getting home the dust was so bad I almost had to stop, well, I went really slow.

Linda fixed a pot of beans, and even though it isn’t cold it sure was good.  We made some corn bread to go with it, now that wasn’t the best.  I don’t know what it was but it sure tasted sweet.

Went back to church tonight and we had cantata practice.  I am having kind of a hard time but tonight was a lot easier to reach all the high notes. I still didn’t sing good but I reached a lot of the high notes.

Going to take it easy tonight, had a couple turkey sandwiches.  I really like turkey.  Anyway, that’s about all for tonight.  Actually I still have a couple more blogs to write because I haven’t gotten online…Night Y’all….

Beautiful day out today and it has just started, what a nice sunny day.

We didn’t do much of anything this morning, I knew that I had to go to work a little later, oh well, hopefully it will be a good day. (Later) well, it wasn’t a real bad day, kept kind of busy, got the plants watered and finally got the cleaning done at about 6:30PM.  I thought it would be a really busy day but actually it was kind of slow for April 2nd.  I waited until after 7PM for a camper to come in who was just a few minutes away.  Got them checked in and did the books and I made a mistake somewhere and I can’t find it, hopefully Mark will find it for me.

Linda had the tacos again for tonight.  I love tacos, well, I love most everything I guess.  We had a nice evening I got Sparky all tired out and he went to sleep on the pillow, well, almost…

He must have been really tired….

Guess he kind of sipped off the pillow..

Well, not much to write about tonight I have tomorrow off and have church a good part of the day.  I am singing in the Cantata and it really isn’t easy.  The notes are very high for me but I will  sure give it a  good try, I know the Lord will see me through it… Have a great night Y’all…

April Fool’s Day!!  Well, I’m not much for jokes I guess. 

Looks like it is going to be a very nice day, the sun is shining and it is going to get a little warmer.

I baked bread this morning.  Turned out pretty good then I grilled out (in the garage).

The steaks were from the grocery store down in Mission TX.  They weren’t nearly as good as the New York Strip steak though but they did taste good.  I baked some potatoes and grilled an onion that turned out pretty good.

Work again today and it looks nice out.  This is one of the busiest times of the year.  Snow Birds heading north.  Started out pretty good.  They were pretty consistent coming in, Mark helped when the driveway filled up and that gave me time to finish some of the paper work.  Mark and Kim left at 6PM and things were kind of slow, had a few more. At about 7:05PM (7PM is quitting time) it went downhill in a hand basket.  I missed getting a charge card receipt and the woman insisted she had to have one.  Got ahold of Mark and he tried to help me get the duplicate receipt.  Twenty minutes on the phone and he finally came back to the office but during this time the driveway filled up again with waiting campers. To get to the point I was there until after 8PM and I still didn’t do the bookwork.  Going to leave it for tomorrow.  I am ready to go home.  That is to much like stress!!!

Linda wondered why I was so late and that was the reason.  We just had a sandwich, peanut butter and banana, for supper.  Hit the spot.  I stayed up and watched the weather I think.  Anyway to bed….Night Y’all.

Today I only work a half day, well, six hours but it should go well.  It went well until 7PM when I was supposed to go home.  Had the books all done when there was someone at the door.  I opened it and it was another camper, OK, I checked him in and went to park him.  Easy!!  Oops, here comes another camper.  This guy is old and wants a deal.  He said he got a real good rate down the road and the more he went on I almost told him to go on down the road and maybe he would get the same “good” deal.  I was nice I didn’t do it.  Well, I finally got out about 7:35PM.  Could have been a lot worse I guess.

Linda had tacos fixed for supper and I was getting hungry.  They were really good. We took it easy tonight, I had a hard time staying awake again, so what’s new??

Tomorrow is another day so maybe I will have more tomorrow. Night Y’all…

Wednesday March 30th 2011

Sounds like yesterday, it is still very cool and windy outside.  Supposed to warm up a bit I think but not much.

Well, work today is a menagerie  of different things.  I worked on the golf cart most of the morning trying to change some electrical wires that were supposed to correct the problem.  I didn’t mend the wires I replaced them.  Ran beautiful for about 3 hours then the battery went dead and that was really fast!  Guess I don’t have it fixed.  I changed the wires back the way they were and figured there was another problem that I have no idea where to find it.  I am not good at electrical problems.

This afternoon I helped Bits for a little over an hour and when I got caught up I went over to the mobile home I was cleaning…this is the kitchen…

I finished the kitchen then went to the middle bedroom…

I actually knew the lady that lived here, not well, but I had met her.  This is really not nice.  Not sure if they had a dog or some wild animal like a possum or raccoon nested in here for a couple of years, plenty of droppings… This one I am about half done with the room..

Plenty of work.  I know all the carpet will come out and some of the walls will have to be repaired or replaced.  He has twelve more to do and I’ve worked two days so far just cleaning up the clothes etc…

After work I was pretty tired but Linda fixed a great meal…fish and mashed potatoes with a salad….Yummy!!

I didn’t realize it until now but I think she has her eyes closed.  She is smiling though…

Not much going on tonight, a little TV and a few naps before going to bed.  Tomorrow I work in the office so it won’t be so physical but it has really been busy for this little campground….Night Y’all…
