Going to head back to Sikeston today with a stop in Springfield to see Linda’s brother and sister-in-law.
We saw a place on the way up that the gas was $3.89 and wanted to wait to see if we could make it there, Bradford, and fill up. We made it!
The gas here was ten cents a gallon cheaper than most everywhere else. eighty four dollars and under eight miles to the gallon. Not a cheap way to travel but it is comfortable and we are at least getting it out and used.
We made it to the campground around 1:30PM, unhooked and went to find out where they (Ken and Ruth) live. We used the Tom Tom and it took us to the street but wanted us to turn the wrong way. I remembered about which house they lived in so I told her to turn it off. I was right!!!
Had a real good visit with Ken and Ruth, lots of laughs and a good game of cards. I think Ruth won the first game and she wanted to stop early on the second so she would win that but we had one more hand to go and Linda won this game..
Looking at pictures on the cell phone…
and a pose picture…
I wanted to get back to the camper and hook the car up before it got dark. Didn’t make it. It was already to dark when we got back but I did get it on the dolly with Linda’s help.
We watched a little TV and listened to the rain. Hope it isn’t raining in the morning. I don’t want to strap the car down in the rain!
We were both pretty tired so we went to bed around 10PM. We did watch a new show called “Revolution”. It is a lot like Jericho that was on a couple of years ago. Well, guess it is time…Night Y’all….
